Makes me think of a Kurt Vonnegut quote I have posted here in the past-
"The greatest peace comes from the knowledge that I have enough".
Nice article. Maybe the mental depression from selfish capitalism comes from consuming all of those products that were produced in cruel and oppressive environments. Energy transformed in a product? I have had many thoughts about the mental state of our citizens. I have contributed (although, I'm not a trained professional) mental disorders to a disconnect with nature, and the loud, busy, technological advances of society. But, I could place some of the blame of capitalism as well.
