Sigg bottles

I finally bought a bottle brush for my Sigg, but it turns out it's not actually mold on the bottom (I thought it was stuck on too well...) but places where the enamel has chipped off, leaving bare aluminum. What's the majority opinion? Is my $20 bottle still safe to drink out of with the aluminum exposed?
I guess the chips are from dropping it...
Didn't you say the water starts tasting funny towards the end? That's probably a bad sign. I'd say it's time to get a new bottle.
I'd contact the company and ask them. Well, first I'd ask for a free replacement (those things must have some sort of guarantee, no?), and if they won't give it to you, then ask them if it's safe to drink from.
i stupidly put goji berries in my sigg and i think one is stuck to the bottom. i was thinking of getting a brush. but i can't find where to get one online. i live out in the boonies. whered you get yours?
Whole Foods...it was $13 though :(
I should have just bought another bottle for $7 more. I was thinking of contacting the company too, I guess I will when I get around to it.
I had been trying to figure out where to get a brush for my sigg when someone suggested a baby bottle brush. $3 at the local grocery store in the babyfood section.
I always put tea in my bottle which somehow had turned the insides into a creepy dark fungus farm or something.... :P But now it's looking great again... ;)b
Just water in your Sigg can still create a fungus farm....just so everyone is aware to be on the lookout! I've had my Sigg for awhile and have never put anything but water in it. I swish around some soapy water in it about once a week and figured that was good enough. Then one day I got the urge to stick my finger in my bottle :o and after running it around the inside, it came out with some black/green crud on it. Ugghhh...now I use the baby bottle brush during the weekly washings. I will add though that my husband just bought a Sigg and claimed that the water tasted way better out of mine than his new one. This was right before I discovered the "growth"....so who knows, maybe it's not such a bad thing! ;D
Update: I wrote to the company, and asked them if it would be safe to drink out of, but the guy wanted me to take a picture of it (he doesn't believe me that it's possible to break maybe?), and I don't have a camera with a flash. I guess it is probably not safe, or he would have conclusively said it was...
Scary stuff!
I finally bought one last week, and have been so pumped. Got a big dent in it when we drove to our show in Cleveland, but still love that thing. Might get a backup too.
