slightly gross things you enjoy sharing with people

sometimes i find myself slightly grosser than the average population, i don't think it's very gross, but i get weird reactions out of people sometimes.

- i'm an 'if it's yellow let it mellow kind of person and sometimes i will see all this pee in the toilet and think "wtf, why has it been so long since i have pooped?" and realize that i pooped at work or summat.

- i think picking my nose is an enjoyable pass-time.

- sometimes i will brush my teeth and the toothbrush will be really red and i think that i cut my mouth from vigorous brushing but it's just tomato/strawberry/etc.

- i eat food off of the ground/questionable tables all of the time.

... please tell me gross things you enjoy sharing!

I tell EVERYONE about the Diva Cup....in great detail...

I spare no one.

MEEEE TOO.

Cali, there's a good chance you had internal dissolvable stitches too, in addition to the staples.

LoL...I feel like an idiot even posting about this, but here goes!  My husband and I will sometimes fart on one another!  It's just this big joke thing that we share!  I know it's gross but we get a good laugh over it.  Usually one of us just runs by and does it...but don't worry, only when we're alone.  Hehe  :-[

We do this too, but it's only sometimes "on purpose." It's usually in bed when we're snuggling, and have to let one out. We have a thing where if one of us does something to the other (fart, lick, "cweases"-cold hands, etc.), the other person says, "I get that," and they just add up. I think I still have like 19 cweases, and 15 licks stored up against him.

Hesp, I had NEVER HEARD that yellow mellow saying before, and I knew it was probably something that people knew..but I was telling P how it might be a good idea if we left our pee in there, blah, blah, blah, and he goes, you mean "if it's yellow, let it mellow" (Or whatever), and I was like..hooowwww did you know that???? "5th grade"  ..........I was trying to think of a new saying..b/c mine is clear...I keep forgetting to leave it though.

Something that KINDA grosses me out..when I take my diva out (as some of you know..I do it in the shower) on heavier days..it comes out all stringy.

eta: Cali, I had staples, stitches, a rod, and screws. I remember going to get my staples (or was it stitches?) out....

we're definitely "selective flushers". We pay for our water here, which as a renter, I've never had to do. And of course our nasty apt. is 35 years old, so every flush is some insanely high number of gallons. Ha, if anyone ever comes to visit, we're gonna have to stop that.

That may be Pink but the first time I had the lateral realignment of the soft tissues the surgeon did this cool inside plastic bendable filament which only showed three knots on the outside, not stitches.  To remove he snipped the knots and pulled on one end.  It zigzagged out of my skin and left it looking lovely.  This last guy chunked in 41 metal staples and left my leg looking like I was chased by a maniac with a chainsaw.  Complete with weird pulls and lumps and polka dot scars.

When I asked him why, months later mind you, his response was "Well after that first surgery your days as a leg model were over."
I didn't ever think my legs (knees) would win any beauty contests but I would rather not look like a freak show reject.

Awww, poor AC!!! Im so sorry to hear you have grinding action as well as bionic parts.  :(  Staples suck being removed.  Stitches just feel weird to me to slide out of your skin, staples you have the skin sliding but also the unclamping pain and yanking.

My knees do grind, and pop, and snap,  and crackle!  When I walk, climb stairs or just bend them.  I have just grown used to not ever running or jogging, not playing any sports of any kind and being careful to walk down stairs, down hills and on anything remotely movable like gravel.  Its just my way of life.

This is between three and four weeks post surgery!  WARNING ICKY PHOTO!!!

AC-If it's pee, let it be... If it's brown, flush it down.

little2ant thanks for bringing up the ear wax.  I have a trick for that too.  I used to get wax build up really and have to go to the dr.  he had this little looped instrument so I started cleaning them at home with the curved part of a booby pin.

and I hate to even admit this, but I have to turn around and look after I go "boom boom"  just to see how much came out!!

also at work, I love getting ingrown hairs out
I'm sure I'll think of more........

I like the design.  It's kind of like what I painted on my bedroom dresser.

OK, for the ear wax thing, you will LOVE THIS!! I have had excess ear wax issues since i was a wee lil' one. I'd have to go to the doctor, and he'd pull out the little torture tool and yank out these huge chunks. Then I started getting them flushed out w/ water and H202, but it was expensive because a Dr. had to do it. And then I discovered ear candles!! they're amazing. and the best (grossest) part about them is when you're done, you can cut it open and see all the melted ear wax. love it!!

So, the other day my roommate was hogging the freakin' bathroom and I had to go boom boom. I got impatient and ended up pooing in a plastic bag in my backyard and throwing it away in our garbage can outside. Sometimes you just gotta go!

I try to show everyone any injury I might have, especially if it's particulalry gross or has a good storey to it: bruises, scratches,  poison ivy, blisters (esp on my feet). I think it's because it's acceptable among runners. Right now I have sunburnt shoulders & am resisting the urge to show my coworkers.

LAD, have you ever had a toenail fall off? I lost both my big ones after my first half marathon. I guess my shoes were too tight. One got a giant blister under it and when it finally popped all this goo and pus squished out the edges, then it turned black and fell off. It was fun.

And HH, I totally do the multiple clothes wearing thing. Well, except for underwear, which I have a million pairs of. I HATE doing laundry.

you guys crack me up!  :-D

I do alot of the above, wear clothes mulitple times,  check poop, even check sweetpea poop in her little potty, seeing if the seeds from the night before are in it,  make sure that there isn't any poop left on the "red eye", and pick dh's zits on his back. I wish dh would talk to me about poop but he has this thing about it and won't.  We let it mellow here, sometimes dh will let the wrong thing mellow  >:(.  Dh is a huge farter... me not so much, but if he's done something bad recently I will let one sneak out and surprise him.  Oh, Ponycakes, I like to peel sunburn too, but haven't in yrs.  I mostly did my dad's growing up because he would ALWAYS burn, dh doesn't so I don't get to do it anymore.

SB, you made me think of sweetpea with your poop story.  We went to Bethany and on the way she had to poop so we stopped and let her poop in her little potty.  Well the store wasnt open yet so dh had to dump it straight into the dumpster. Gross, but she can get away with it because she's two.
