still pukey
You know how...like...I dunno...three or four weeks ago I said I was feeling sick and was puking? Well... this is ridiculous, but its still happening. There is no way for me to get to a doctor, I know that would be the best thing for me right now, but I cannot afford it and its just out of the question. I don't feel as weak, achy, shaky and tiered as I did before; but I get extremely nauseous to the point of vomiting. I also get extremely intense cramping in my abdomen. My bowl movements and such are fairly normal, though I seem to be osulating between constipation for a few days and near diarrhea for a few. My eating is pretty norma,l I guess. Water intake...a little on the low side but drinking anything makes me even more nauseous. Right now it hurts so bad I want to cry. I'm trying hard not to vomit. I have not eaten in the last several hours cause the nausea is so bad that i start to gag when i touch my lips, so if i puke ill have dry heaves and i hate that.
I cant figure out what this is. Its not related to any particular food I can pinpoint. I'm not taking anything bad for me medicine wise (no laxatives, diacritics, ipecac or the like) and I have not for several months. I'm getting sleep enough. I'm not stressed any more than normal. No alcohol. All i can say is, I'm glad that I'm not working right now cause id be home from work more than at work. Ive had bad bouts of IBS in the past and some of the symptoms were different. (I had this intense feeling I need to eliminate all the time but could not, had mucus instead of stools and more cramping than nausea during the IBS.)
I'm thinking maybe a gluten allergy? I had bad, bad cramps after having some seiten jerky last week and then i puked. Last night I had boca brand ground taco seasonings, which i think has gluten in it. But today all I have eaten was a silk yogurt with some granola and a few nutter butters....I think i might start and elimination diet...white rice and ...lentils? What would you do for and elimination diet?
God I cant take this I think i gotta puke right now..
you really really need to see a doctor, honey.
that sounds awful.. ((zealia))
Oh man VHZ, sounds bad. You know, my mom had something sort of similar, for 3 weeks she had nausea and felt like crap. The way it lasted so long, and the simptoms she had I demanded that she take a pregnancy test (she is 48, the likleyhood is slim, but still possible). It came out negative. She seemed to have gotten over it not, but it took a long time. There seems to be some kind of flu or something going around that is nasty and doesn't go away, just hangs in there for weeks. I don't know what to suggest except to drink lots of orange juice, if you can, and get plenty of rest. About not being able to go to the doctor, I comepletely understand, I was witout health insurance until I got this job I am working at now, at the age of 29 so I also always avoided doctors unless it was a life or death situation.
Do you have a fever? If it is over 102 then definately get to a doctor, you risk brain injury if it gets higher than, what...104?
thanks for the love, guys. I did end up puking last night, which totally sucked. i still feel a little queasy this morning, but its not to bad yet. thats the way it tends to go...it builds throughout the day. often it does seem to be connected to eating, though to what, i do not know.
Last night though, I had a thought. Guinevere and D'Artagnon have been puking and eating grass like mad (tummy aches?) for just a little longer than i have been feeling sick. I thought they were slightly intolerant to the new food they are on. they are not losing weight, so Ive tried not to worry about it too much. hopefully before too long i will be able to get a job and start buying the food they are used to getting. But, i did wonder if our illness could be connected. My dad, his dog, and the cat are all fine. I'm wondering if it could be something we were not used to in Tucson, and now are having a hard time with? The water is well water and is really high in iron, i only use it in cooking, bathing, brushing teeth etc. but it is what all the animals drink...maybe thats it??? Or maybe we don't have anything to do with one another and its coincidental?
Either way...i cant wait to have insurance in August! I get sick really often and i really do believe that i have some sort of allergy...I want to know what it is. :( I'm really glad to know its not possible for me to be pregnant...cause I'd be freaked out. :o If it is a bug like your mom had, SQ, hopefully it'll go away soon.
iron *could* lead to tummy upset, its possible.
but i would try and get to a doc tho, esp after you saying that you have shown ketones before..id be really concerned.
isnt there a free clinic anywhere? I know portland has one.
iron *could* lead to tummy upset,
Oh, you know what? I just started taking my iron supplement again about 2 months ago. I was debating only taking it every other day, because I'm eating way more iron now than when the doctor told me to take a supplement. I definitely will do that now.
How are you feeling today?
I sure hope you are feeling better and I really hope you were able to get yourself to a doctor or hospital. A lot of places will bill you or allow you to make payments. Get well hugs! :flower:
