Hi all! Hope you're enjoying life & food & autumn! I've started doing daily blog posts and am finding that much of my inspiration has been coming from people's requests--for example, they'd like kid tips or ways to eat healthy on a budget.
So, here's what I just posted on facebook:
I'd love any suggestions for blog topics! Anything along the lines of healthy eating, food ideas, holistic wellness, & inner well-being tips...It's called special requests, so take advantage of me while I'm sleepy and defenseless.
I feel like blogging is my chance to share and spread info in a really fun, user-friendly way, so let me know if you have any requests! I welcome it all!
(My blog is at www.rhiw.blogspot.com)
Thanks in advance! :)>>>
I already said this on facebook, but simple non-fried tofu recipes. Most of the "simple recipes" I see for tofu are fried and I'm not a big fan of frying my food.
Thanks! I love baked tofu. Maybe I'll post my tofu nuggets recipe soon.
:)
Just posted one of my fave baked tofu recipes. Hope you enjoy, and let me know what you think! http://rhiw.blogspot.com/
Comfort foods maybe? Or something hearty and warming. Like stews.
thanks! And, how do YOU define comfort foods? I'll use it as data for the entry. ;)
Soft warm stuff that doesn't take a lot of chewing :p Hm. I guess comfort food to me is warm food that will make me feel better if I'm cold and sad and the weather is crappy. Mashed potatoes and meatloaf or oatmeal or baked potato soup or mac and cheese or shepherd's pie or that stew thing that grandmas make that has brown sauce and meat and potatoes and carrots all cooked together. I believe it is pot roast or perhaps beef stew.
The thing is, I'm all about the junk foods and I'm sort of trying to change that, so like a healthy version of a comfort food would be rad.
What Pcakes! said. Please, healthy comfort food.
Thanks guys! I'm not Jesus, but ask and ye shall receive. :)
p.s. Are you following my blog? That way, you'll know when I do posts related to your interests.

I do follow the blog and enjoy it... and from what I read on your facebook your daughter sounds just ridiculously adorable!
Thanks! She is, if I do say so myself. ;)
I just made that tofu dish myself--haven't made it in years & forgot how yummy it is! :)
I thought of another one the other day: quick, easy, and healthy breakfasts. Peanut butter toast just gets boring sometimes!
And (I've only just started regularly reading your blog, so if you've already done this I apologize) stuff that doesn't have to be refrigerated that you can take for lunches to work/school. I have super early class on M, W, F and I'm on campus til 3:30, so I never really have a lot of time for breakfast AND I have to pack a lunch otherwise I starve the whole day :(
Oh seconded, ponycakes, I really need some inspiration for healthy lunches which don't need refrigeration.
Yay, Tess! I'm following you now.
I second the quick and non fried tofu recipes. I am always looking for new soups, I'm a soup addict. Or pasta cuz all of your pasta dishes are the bomb. I've been srsly debating buying some off season asparagus becuz I am sooo craving the Lemon Asparagus linguine. that stuff is amazing.
along the lines of healthy breakfasts, how about healthy portable breakfasts? Muffins, bars, etc?
Thanks everyone! Great suggestions. ;)b
You may want to check out the Vegan Flax Yogurt pancakes & Oven Glazed Tofu as far as some of your requests go. And otherwise, all of your ideas will be on my list.
Thanks again--I love getting feedback, it keeps me inspired! :)
soy free vegan please!!!
Amy, you can also note that in my book and on my blog I use the SF code if something is soy-free. So, check that out & I'll put your request on for later entries too.
Thanks everyone!! :)
cool i'll check it out
