Well, I quit one job because of my health, but I miss it so much :'( I am a machine operator by trade, which isn't a big deal. But that job killed me. The overtime, and all of the heavy lifting .... But yet, I'm looking for a job similar to that (what! Am I nuts!?!?!?!), minus all the OT (I hope). I convinced myself I wouldn't accept anything else, even the job I interviewed with earlier this week (it had nothing to do with my trade). Am I nuts?
I posted my resume on different job sites and such ... but nothing came from it ... yet. I wish someone would pick me, dang nabbit!
Ok, enough blabbing. I'll craw back into my hole of sorrow :'( v ::)
Congratulations, Karate Kid! :)
Yay! Congrats! New jobs are so exciting...as opposed to job HUNTING!
Now that you've got a new fab job, could you rub a little of the job finding mojo on me?
Congrats!
;D
Congrats!
My brother is a machinist...so I kinda understand. He does prototyping now (he got bored on the machines so taught himself the CAD and manual programming part, but they treated him really badly as an engineer). But know how rough it is operating machines and loading some of those giant pieces of metal. I hope it goes much better for you on the presses :)
Cool. Does he know CNC programing?
Yep. This job with be MUCH better than my old one, because they WILL teach me how to set up the machines (see my gripe my second post). I can't wait!
Thanks all for your support :)
*sends Celtcat some mojo* Do you have a resume? If you do, go here and post it: http://www.careerbuilder.com/ That's what I did. I also saw jobs on there that I thought I would be interested in, and sent them my resume by email. Good luck with the job search.
