What are you pretending not to know?

i saw the question posted on another forum i lurk around, thought it might be interesting to post here. not necessarily to get answers (though it'd be interesting to hear) but kinda just to make yah think....

as for me, on a daily basis i pretend not to know customers are outright lying when they call in to verizon wireless customer service and act like they don't know where download charges on their bill came from

i'm pretending not to know that bingeing won't solve how unhappy i am at my new job, and that it'll just make it worse when i'm there tomorrow feeling sick

Yeah, I made a Thai stir fry recipe from VW tonight that had peanut sauce.  It was awesome but I'm pretending I don't feel my thighs jiggling right now! OK, an overstatement, but still, I didn't even want to know the nutrition facts this time. :-\

i'm pretending not to know that i am too freaked out to change things about my situation.
