What's on your summer agenda?

Because I'm a teacher and stay home with my kids during the summer, I have a lot more free time than I do the rest of the year. This summer I decided to improve my Spanish (I never quite mastered the past tense), which I use a lot with my students. I'm both a language geek and a folk music buff, so I've been learning some Spanish language songs I found on Youtube. My favorites are Victor Jara's "Mis Manos son lo Unico que Tengo" and the Joan Baez version of "La Llorona". The downside is that my kids really don't want to hear me singing them over and over and over...
What's on your list of personal projects for this summer?
Make more soap to sell
Canning fruit and jams
Finish my sewing projects
Find someone to design my logo and get it done
now don't feel obligated to say if it's some kind of secret, but... how do You make Your soaps?
I tried making some with a friend once, and she used melted down blocks of vegetable glycerin and a few added scents and things.... it just.. wasn't good. :P But I'd love to try my hand again at soap-making!
And also, I might be able to help You with that logo design. ;)
Pick lots of blueberries and blackberries
Help to make lots of jams, jellies, and pies out of said berries
Make more finished drawings, not just good sketches
Make three event posters to pad my design portfolio
Help finish the pottery studio
Keep improving Our barn
Make a proper Graverobber costume and hopefully take on his role in a near-future shadowcast screening of REPO
-find a new job (haha... i've only been at my current job for 3 days).
-find a new creative outlet for myself that i enjoy.
-write more.

I make cold processed vegan soaps - lye solution and vegetable oils plus other additions. There are a couple really great books I have that I learned from: The Natural Soap Book and The Soapmaker's Companion, both by Cavitch. They are great ones to get you started! That sucks about your previous soap flop, but it often does take a few attempts to get the hang of it, then it's easy.
That would be great if you could help with the logo! I'm about to be starting up my organic fruit farm and soapmaking business this fall (if all goes well). Message me if you want.
Good luck with all your berrying, btw! I just made and canned a bunch of jam and salsa this weekend and will be picking blackberries for another round next weekend.
