whew!! I'm exhausted!

Today was the big move day that my mom basically counted down on for months. Started at 7:00, bright and early. We only lived in a (roomy) 2 bedroom apartment before, but now it is a 3 BR condo. The extra room is for me to transform into a studio that I can do all of my artwork and crafts and stuff in. Those poor movers, they were so tired. My mom and I have a LOT of stuff for just two people. It was 4 men and it took them until 7 PM! I know the headline says that I'M exhausted, but that's because of my wonderful, magnificent, pleasant mother. oh. my. goodness. she was a bear today. a real treat. if i had a bottle of xanax, i would have slipped it into her water. she was compltely psychotic. I just wouldn't handle it. My sister (she has her own place) came over to help out today, but left about 15minutes after she got there because of the way my mom was treating us. sigh, apart from that, I'm excited to be somewhere new. There were a few bigger items that wouldn't fit in the moving truck, so we're going back tomorrow to pick em up. I'll see if I can take some pictures, and then i'll take pictures of the new place after it's all unpacked for you to compare  ;)

PS- I realize now i probably should've put this in aimless chat. I'm really tired from the last 3 days, what can I say :-\

"She left after about 15 min because of the way (Mom) was treating us"....doesn't that just kill you? She didn't really come to help, then.  :-\ Makes you wanna yell at her parting back, "Yeah, run, you wuss--what about those of us who CAN'T get away!!"

Having said that, I remember going to my married sister's house when I was still living at  home. She lived in the same town and my mom would never leave the house while I was gone because at some point she KNEW I would call and say, "Come take me home!" I can't drive...and I can't stomach more than a few hours in my sister's company.

I know! My sister has always just been able to run out or go to a friend's house when she's mad at my mom...my mom totally doesn't let that happen with me. When we get in a fight, she likes to like...chain me to her and not let me go ANYWHERE. She'll take my keys, too. That's one reason I was reluctant to get my liscense- i knew she would do stuff like that and I didn't want her to control something that I'd worked for. oy. I can't wait to move out.
