Yes, Thank God it's Thursday, since it's my Friday today. There's still two hours left of work then off I go.
I have festive music playing in my head right now. Lots of horns and marimbas. Just thought I'd share that with y'all.
What are your plans for this week end? My mum is coming to visit me. It was her birthday last week, so I thought I'd go shopping with her. And I will bake. Not sure what yet.
My seventeen-year-old sister is visiting! We're going to do crafts and go to art museums and cook vegan food. She's not vegetarian but she loves cooking vegan with me! :)>>> I'm thinking veg sushi rolls.
TGIT!
We're going to the Farmer's Market for the first time this year! It started last weekend, but we couldn't go. Its our favorite thing to do! :D

Me too!! No Friday classes! This weekend is my school's big spring concert/party thing. Basically New Year's in May because you always expect so much, but it's never as amazing as everyone expects it to be.
It's Mother's Day Sunday so it looks like I need to go do some creative thinking for that, which will be tomorrow's project....

I will go to the Farmer's market as well. It's such a part of my Saturday morning routine that I don't even think about it anymore. We have two farmer's markets in our area. One is more specialized in arts and craft and the other one has more food. Yé for me, because I don't have a car, I go to the closest one, which has more food.
Still 27 minutes to go before my weekend starts. Woo hoo!

Yeah, it's part of our Sat. morning routine when it's in season, too (May-October), but I'm always thinking about it! I think we have a similar thing..but ours is all in the same place (or close). There's a big arts and crafts part....and then the big food part. (is Ye French for yay?)
Oh man, I'm so jealous of eeeeeveryone... I work in a hotel and I work tomorrow AND saturday morning from 6am-2pm. I'll work Sunday either 6am-2pm or 3pm-11pm. Gonna find time to go out with my mom, my best friend and her mom on Sunday. Takin the mums out for some eats on us. My mom and I might visit Sticky Fingers Bakery in DC. It's an all vegan bakery and I just found out they have vegan soft serve ice cream... I coulda peed my pants I was so excited. Definitely can't wait to see how that goes.
oh... um, i work tomorrow at 6am..
BUT lucky me, ... i also work at 6am on saturday, oh yeah and sunday, too.
i work a lot.

Oui. :>
Merci...........I think.... ;)
De rien. (Another way to say you're welcome).
Ugh, I work tomorrow too, 6am-630pm. But THEN...I have 5 days off. Farmers Market sounds like a great idea.
Tomorrow I'm going downtown to do some touristy stuff (I'm in Ottawa, the nation's capital). I'm going to sit in on Question Period, which is an hour of federal politicians yelling at each other and heckling... the state of politics these days... Then I'm going to visit Canada's national art gallery, maybe wander around downtown for a while. And on Saturday I'll do more tourist stuff with my mom - visit Ottawa's Byward Market, the museum of civilization, maybe watch an IMAX movie. And on Sunday we'll probably do a boat tour of the 1000 Islands on our way out of Ottawa. I like being a tourist.

I LOVE the farmer's market! My dad goes to the local one every Saturday (and buys local fruits, veggies, cheese, and meats), and I've gone with him pretty often recently. It's AMAZING! Not a fan of the meat or cheese, obviously, but love the fresh maple syrup, the local produce, baked goods - oh, so wonderful.

I've spent the summer of 2004 in Ottawa for my internship at this radio station. Nice city, the By Market is awesome and I worked in that area. I took some time to do the tourist thing ( I love to be a tourist as well). I went on a guided tour for the Parliament. It was interesting. We went swimming at Lake Philippe, I think that's what the name was. But I was broke most of the time, so I mostly just walked around. I did go the Parliament to sit in on Question Period, but it was not during that Summer. It was very boring, I was kind of disappointed actually. Most of the MPs weren't even there. I think it would've been more interesting if they were debating on something I understood. Well, at that time, they were talking, but it's like nobody really listened. It was anarchy! ;D
Yes, Canada is a country ruled by anarchy.
My weekend plans involve doing lots of laundry and packing to leave for Connecticut Sunday. Not my favorite kind of weekend to have.

There's a long period in the summer when the house isn't sitting. It's their vacation/time to focus on thier constituents, etc. I hope Question Period is interesting - there have been a few scandals recently - did you hear about the one that came out last night? Our foreign affairs minister's ex-girlfriend was married to a member of a biker gang. Apparently that threatens national security... :hrmm:
I don't have a lot of money either, so won't be going ALL out, but the Parliament building costs nothing, and since I'm not 20 yet, it's only $4 for me to get into the national art gallery. Yipee!
i have the day off of work "tomorrow" which is now today as well! i love a good three day weekend. today i'm getting my social security card, drivers license, spending a 100$ gift certificate and working in my garden. tomorrow i have to go work at school anyways. bagh, writing substitute lesson plans and getting ready for the stupid talent show, but then on sunday we're having a big family dinner with my bfs family!

Yes, that is still on the news. Yes, some are afraid for the National Security, because the girlfriend herself was at some point on a hit list or whatever. But she wasn't accused or anything... I'm not really sure what to think of it. Of course, Bernier has the right to his own private life, but then again, how did he meet that woman? What were the circumstances? Is that Julie Couillard still has ties with members of the organized crime. I do not fear for public safety, per se, but it could be mean that Bernier has links with the organized crime. I'm going to the extreme here, but it's not like it's never been unheard of : Politicians brushing shoulders with the mob. With a government tough on crime and squeaky clean as Harper's, you'd think they know better and that sometimes, you can be guilty by association. And you know that if the Tories were still in the opposition and a Liberal MP was in the same situation, the Tories would be all over that.

I wish I had a house with a garden. But this year, some friends of mine are starting one in their backyard, I might have a piece of land as well. Yé!
Tomorrow (Sat) I have 2 classes to teach, and then the afternoon off. Sunday I'm speaking, and then there will be a meeting which promises to be rather dire. I hope I'm wrong. I'll take any good thoughts/vibes/prayers that are going for a more felicitous outcome than I'm expecting right now.
And Monday I hope to get into the DR and get some decent allergy meds! It's worth taking an 8.30 AM appt to have the rest of the day to do things in.
