Ok so maybe I'm just a weirdo, but there's silly little things that really bug me for no apparent reason - what about the rest of you? Is there any little thing that really annoys you, but probably shouldn't that much?
Ok I'll start:
I hate it when peolpe jiggle their legs up and down when they're sitting down. Some people will do this continually and I HATE IT. There's no logic to my annoyance but it really bugs me.
It also bugs me when women put their make up on on public transport - just wake up earlier if you want to wear it - and don't give people dirty looks when they stare at you.
llg - do it, and blame it on baby :D
+1
:-D Pretty sure I couldn't get away with this. On the bright side; only 25 more days until I can go on prenatal/maternity/vacation days. Thankfully, my job has a very generous/liberal maternity policy AND I have an insane amount of vacation days on the books and my command is pro babies, so taking extra time shouldn't be a problem.
:-D
The publishers who take illustrations from a classic children's book and make them into a picture book, but don't mention that it's only a picture book on the cover or in the description (in the case of buying books online). A month ago I thought I was buying a set of 4 Hairy MacLary books for my son, but they're just illustrations from various books with little sentences like "Hairy MacLary can scamper away." They don't even rhyme! Yesterday I thought I was buying Possum Magic for a friend's daughter's birthday, but it's just a few of the pictures with single words on the page ("possum", "snake", etc). I've seen the same thing done to books by Beatrix Potter, Eric Carle, etc. Note to self: don't buy children's books without checking inside first.
Now I have to go return the fake Possum Magic. >:(
when people jokingly use violence as the answer to every opposition.
SPAMBOTS ON VEGWEB.
grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.

I share your pain. I'm so very sick of this crap!
Stupid jerks who don't understand that dogs need food and water more than once a day. And then decide to be crazy jerks and almost beat up my mom because she tells them that it'd be cool if their dog had more than a foot or two of chain to walk and had a water bowl and gives them a big bucket for water and they don't use it. And my mom backs off and 2 weeks later they THROW BURNING OBJECTS AT MY HOUSE. There is half a burnt door in my yard along with tons of ash and beer bottles.
I feel like they're going to kill my dog or something completely insane. (These are the same people who were burning trash and trees and things they ripped out of their house so that the smoke blew right into my house and I couldn't breathe for a few days.)
STOKED.
I love how stupid people are. Awesome.
Also, the cops said they couldn't do anything since it was after the burning and things and there was no proof they did it. And my moms afraid to call the ASPCA about the dog now. I went to check on the dog through the fence today, he looks fine but he has a HUGE chain on his neck and they don't leave water for him. I'm probably going to do something about it. Hopefully the lady won't try to beat me up.
(jk, I hope she tries to beat me up so she can get in trouble for it.)
holy shit Sarah that's a rubbish situation! I hope you, your mum, and Chad are all safe from these crazy people!! : /
ah sarah! I'm sorry that's happening. Keep a close eye on Chad, several of my mom's clients' dogs have been poisoned/killed by neighbors who didn't appreciate them ):
crap sarah that is so horrible!!! i wish i could run over your neighbors with a semi truck... bastards!
sarah- so sorry! people like that infuriate me. i'd call aspca anyway. jeez, people are horrible
On the way to portland yesterday I saw a couple driving in a car (in a really dangerous area, lots of deaths by wrecks) and the lady in the passenger seat was feeding a 4 month old baby on her LAP!!! >:(
Wow.... just, wow!
Sarah ~ I would still call on your neighbors every single day. Call the local ASPCA and the cops each time the dog is in a bad situation and have the cops document any and all threats made against you guys.
Jessimaka ~ They could have been on the safest road on the planet and that still isn't smart to do.
Jess...wow, I can't believe that. There is just no way to justify breastfeeding a baby while driving. Either pull over and breastfeed or let it cry a little while longer until you can stop. Seriously, some people just shouldn't be allowed to reproduce.

When I first read this I thought you meant, like, spoonfeeding the baby out of Gerber bottle or something, which is even weirder, in a way...but neither is to be recommended.
My mom used to eat sandwiches and drink coffee (which she pumped out of one of those Thermos dispensers) while driving. She would also consult maps etc.

I do both of these things.....My husband is constantly fussing at me for shaking. I'm always running late so I'll sling my face on in the car sometimes. But I never look at people when I'm doing it because I'm embarrassed that I'm such an idiot for putting on makeup in a car.
lol, thanks for the laugh!
pg - it gets more gmg b/c she wasn't even breastfeeding!!!! she was bottle feeding!! something she could have easily have done by slinging an arm behind her while the baby was safely in the seat. and as alarming and sometimes annoying as it is to have your baby cry while you reach destination, they will live, and so will you. and if it gets too rough, pull the fuck over!
I know this thread is well over a year old but it still looks active.
My wife and I live by a city park.
Most of the people I see drive in a responsible manner past the park.
I would say about ten percent go speeding past the park in SUVs, monstor trucks, large cars and motor cycles.
The speed I am guessing about 50 to 65 miles an hour.
There is a sad realization that it will probably take a child's death for the city to place extra stop signs at the corners just in the hope it will lower speeds a bit.
I am also sensitive to loud speakers really late at night.

lol, that's not normal? everyone does that here.
