You know what really grinds my gears.......

Ok so maybe I'm just a weirdo, but there's silly little things that really bug me for no apparent reason - what about the rest of you? Is there any little thing that really annoys you, but probably shouldn't that much?
Ok I'll start:
I hate it when peolpe jiggle their legs up and down when they're sitting down. Some people will do this continually and I HATE IT. There's no logic to my annoyance but it really bugs me.
It also bugs me when women put their make up on on public transport - just wake up earlier if you want to wear it - and don't give people dirty looks when they stare at you.
wrgmg: a post-Easter beach full of garbage -mosty plastic, Styrofoam and every dog's favorite, soiled disposable diapers! Freakin' awful! Bits of potato chip bags will be blowing into my yard for months. That is one 'cultural' difference I'll never understand.
Cat callers. I just had two men pant and grunt like dogs out their car window at me as I crossed the street. It pisses me off that this is "ok".

:nono: Ugh, that is totally and utterly the wrongest possible way for people to appreciate your hawtness, theo. *hugs*
Thanks Heli! :)

Well at least you know of 2 guys who will never participate in the gene pool...I've never understood people who willingly make themselves look like eejits.
... that amidst this recession depression and while millions of homes are being foreclosed upon big banks profits for the first quarter are up 20%+/-. Just as are oil profits (even BP @ 17%).
"Last week the financial markets were roiled by Standard & Poor's announcement that they will change their outlook on the fiscal health of the United States over the next two years from 'stable' to 'negative."
What is going on here? Everyday americans are loosing any accumulated wealth while the big biz profits 20%, this is a fleecing.
Im far from an economic specialist.. but no one else sees this or is it quietly happening, since most of us are too busy day to day to make ends meet?

It's not just America, Eric. The fat cats the world over are still raking in profits and John and Jane Q. Pulbic are paying for their elaborate lifestyles without even basic security for later today, never mind tomorrow! European governments keep announcing that "the crisis is easing up" and "things are getting better" all the while they cut jobs and close businesses.
Not sleeping and having a very busy and physical day ahead of me. :-\

its a pandemic... one way out as I see it is go around them. BigBiz cant work with out our voluntary support.
It would be hard to gain the support of all the population and have a moratorium on consumerism for a day at least. No gas, no internet, no shopping, no work, shut off your phone, even power... a world wide walkout/blackout, enjoy the day with your family and friends.

^This! Why don't these type of people realize just telling someone there are beautiful is a much better compliment?!
WRGMG is going into a store where I've bought something several times, asking if they still have or intend to get it again, and having the salesgirl stare at me as if I'd asked her for some bizarre esoteric thing she'd never even heard of before, like say a quart of iguana spit in an enamelled brass flagon, instead of something simple like a pair of women's cotton briefs. And what REALLY makes me want to kick babies is when they think they can say snidely "that must be something from your country." Feck you, this IS my country and has been for nearly 30 years!! And I bought 4 pairs of the same briefs in that same shop last summer.
eric- if you haven't already, I recommend you read The Shock Doctrine by Naomi Klein.

I have not! Thank you for the recommendation. Might you have a copy you might be willing to snail mail?
oh don't get me started on Mexican mail!
I hope your local library has a copy, if not ...here are links to the documentary (I have not seen it): http://www.freemoviecommunity.org/watch-260406-The-Shock-Doctrine
Haha I thought it was a book. Silly me.
It is. It is worth reading. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Shock_Doctrine
Apparently it's also a documentary; I haven't seen it.
wow we are directly on course with Friedmans 'chicago school' policy.
this is more scary than I ever imagined. i hope the film ends with means to overcome this.
and this is exactly what going on in libya, yemen and syria?
and here.
I think I would like her book over the film which seemed (definitely alamist)
found this interview that was much more rational and palatable.

It grinds my gears when people I know I outperformed score higher than me on said performance.
I was all set to watch Black Swan on my computer and my dvd drive is crapping up! >:(

A woman I work was telling me that she started to watch Black Swan but had to turn it off because Natalie Portman was.............. MASTURBATING...I thought I was going to die laughing. The embarrassed and horrified look on her face was hilarious.
