Your New Year's Eve?

So 2008 is coming to a close. I hate hate hate New Year's. Hate it. It's always a bust and I'm a pretty pessimitic person so I often do not feel that the coming new year brings good things with it; just more of the same. So tonight, I will have a beer, a Gravol, some junk food and a good movie. I will kiss my boyfriend at midnight and I will go to sleep. Not alot of crazy-ness, but this is how I like to spend "special nights".
What are you all up to? Parties? Dinners? Going somewhere special? Visiting family/friends? Renting an oldie but a goodie? Tell us what you're doing!!
1) Everyone gets an extra second this year.
2) Mamma Mia! is so much fun. Loved it when I saw it in theatres, and I got my mom a copy for Christmas.
3) I spent my New Year's Eve on the couch, curled up under blankets, watching the CBC.
We did family movie night and watched Alvin and the Chipmunks with some popcorn (both my kids are under 3). After they went to bed, I had some yummy snacks with some leftover wine, wishing my hubby was not stuck at work (he works away for 2 weeks at a time). I watched National treasure 2 and fell asleep on the couch sometime before 9:30. How patetic! Woke up at 11 and went to bed. At least I woke up really rested this morning. I guess its not about how the last year ends, but about how the new one starts!?!
i went to some dance parties and got home at 4am. it ended up being alot more fun than i thought it was gonna be when i left. now i just wanna stay in since i got home from brunch.
We had an INSANE Christmas two weeks that didn't end until my brother and his family left Tuesday late afternoon...so we had no energy left for New Year's Eve. We took a "Sunday" to catch up on work, took a nap, watched some TV and 12 seconds before the ball dropped switched from the Dog Whisperer to Times Square madness. Counted down, kissed each other and went back to bed. I don't think I ever got around to putting a bra on yesterday. Life is so exciting.... ::)
we had fun being silly.....ate too much, drank too much, played skipbo and did our 3rd annual of spray painting happy new year on my friends garage wall.
today, we went on a 3 mile walk, ate some more and played skipbo again!

I liked those pictures :)
thanks Meggs!! it kinda makes me feel like a graffiti artist, haha. she will have her work cut out for when she moves though
Wow. I fell asleep at like 9pm. Lame!
Mamma rocks is the jam, y'all! Seriously, I was so entertained by this movie. I will buy the DVD. But I, too, am in love with musicals.
So glad everyone had a good time!! Now I don't feel like such a dork for wanting to stay in.
I actually ended up having a pretty good time. I was staying at my boyfriend's place where there just happened to be some people coming over (not like big party, but extra people outside his roommates/friends). It was nice because I knew everyone there and if I started to get anxious, I just went up to Tyler's room to relax for a bit and then made my way back down to where people were when I felt better. All in all, a better night than I thought it would be.
So happy to hear everyone had a good and safe time doing what they wanted to do :)
Watching "Teeth" with a peanut butter smoothy drooling happily down my numb chin. ;D
My wife and I were thiiiiiis close to watching that movie New Year's Eve. We opted for "Dead & Breakfast" instead. It was very, very silly in a good/splatty way.
Hope your jaw is doing fine.
