I don't know if you'll like this one but I'll tell you anyway.
They are little witches hats. They look so adorable.
Go to www.bettycrocker.com. In search recipes put in witches hats. But I don't know how to veganize them though.
aww those hats are SUPER cute!!...
I'm thinking of going with the fingers and using a sugar cookie recipe from the vegwebbers and then shaping them like fingers...what do you guys think?
Yup. Love the fingers...
Woohoo, thanks for the idea IM HUNGRY :)
Witch finger cookies :D
a little something green in the cookie dough to make the fingers green ;)
Almonds for the fingernails
What could you use for the blood?
Such a cool cookie idea :)
Use a fruit jam for the blood...if you're using a sugar-cookie dough, you could go with really red icing...use soymilk and powdered sugar and red colouring or jam.
My friend posted a vegan recipe for those fingers on her blog with good, detailed instructions on how-to. She also has lots of great pictures of them! Here's the link: http://yeahthatveganshit.blogspot.com/2006/10/bloody-finger-cookies.html
If you browse her party foods index, you'll also find a recipe for "Black Punch and Disembodied Hand"! She's exquisitely cool.
ooooh good! you guys are giving me fun ideas for my halloween party!!!
speaking of Halloween... does anyone else hate the fact that most of the awesome holiday candy isn't vegan. Like those candy corn for halloween, cadbury eggs at easter, even those little heart shaped things for valentines day with messages on them. I'm even disappointed that those dark chocolate M&M's aren't vegan. Seems like those could have easily been vegan!
oh well.
yay! Thanks for your great ideas! I was thinking of red icing for the blood, but I kind of like the idea of the jam...I'll give you all the scoop after I make them tomorrow :D

It's the shells on those M&M's I believe... bu there is some vegan candy corn out there, and some other sweet treats for Halloween.
Brains are decidedly un-vegan however. But what's one day a year going to hurt? :)

This soup isn't really snack like, but I just made it and it reminded me of something out of a horror movie. ;) (Think the communal "drink" in Bad Taste!)
