I got so so excited at the veggie market that Theo recommended.  I didn't actually get too many great deals because we're still in our holiday accommodation, but I did get an avocado for NZ$0.60, so so cheap - BUT some stalls had them at 10 for NZ$3  OMG OMG OMG!!!!!

There were cabbages bigger than my head for $1. and lettuce as big as my head for $1.  Bunches of asparagus for $1, massive bunches of pak choy for $1.20.

Wow, when we do get our proper rental we're gonna have some serious soups and stir fries and other veggie-ful stuff.  Plus I'll come here and brag and post photos of the sizes of this stuff!

i scored a FREE xbox AND FREE delphi xm satellite radio car unit...top that :)

well, i got 2 jars of natural crunchy organic peanut butter for 1.79 each.  so there!

I just scored a $617 refund check for my taxes!!! Yeah!!

(I can buy 4 avocados, a pound of carrots, 4 ounces of nutritional yeast, and some tofu with that!  ;D)

I actually got a good deal today.  Wow.  I'm loving the almond milk wars.  Every time I buy Silk or Blue Diamond almond milk at Kroger, it gives me a big coupon for the competing product.  This week the BD is on sale for $2.50 and I $1.50 off coupons, so I got them for $1 each.  Today it gave me coupons for free half gallons of the Silk.  They can keep on fighting over my business.

The store got their money from me with the $1.37 green bell pepper and $2 bunch of romaine.  No 13 cent cilantro here but I thought I did good with $0.68. 

I've been so spoiled by the cheap groceries here in Pomona. In west L.A., 3lb/$1 for onions was a steal I could only find at the local Kosher market. A couple weeks ago the 7lb/$1 sale on onions ended, and it went back to 3lb/$1 and I thought psssh! I'm not buying onions this week!

I used to be really good with coupons... I kept them organized by category in some organizing thingy, with an extra slot for coupons expiring soon. It's crazy how cheap you can get some things if you wait for a sale to use them. I got Silk (1/2 gal) for $1 one time, and Cheerios for $0.50 (before I knew the vit D in them wasn't vegan). I'd probably still be on top of it if I still got the newspaper (... for the coupons).

I've been getting coupons spit out at me for FREE Silk Almond Milk every time I go and buy any non-dairy milk. It's awesome! I have 3 saved up now. I need to just drop in and only buy Almond Milk just to get the coupons!
