Sarah, ask your health food store to get Follow Your Heart brand vegan cheese. It's much better!

Not to change the subject, so pardon the question, can you just ask your HFS to carry something in particular?  Will they do that?

If they are able to order it through one of their regular vendors, it's usually not a problem--they just throw it on the truck when the rest of their regular order is sent out. I've never done it, but I've had employees at the HFS offer to order something in for me.

My HFS makes me fill out a horrible tiny form -- probably to discourage special orders. So, last time I asked for four forms, put them on the copier at work & copied at 135%.  ;D

It helps if you can provide a UPC code or contact info for the maker of the original product.

I reallyreallyreally like veganrella. It does melt, very well. It is also not soy based which is great for those with a soy allergy. I Do not like follow your heart particularly, it seemed like, well, like glorified tofu with salt and a different flavour. Have not tried tofurella, it is vegan, though.
