Weekly Giveaway: The Kind Diet by Alicia Silverstone! rdare is the winner!
It's the Oscars on Sunday. If we were having our own Academy Awards over at VegWeb, Alicia Silverstone would surely be up for a lifetime acheivement for her roll as Cher in Clueless Not only is it inarguably one of the best films of our time, she is amazing in it. Seriously, if you doubt me, you need to get on Netflix right now and do an instant watch of that glorious movie. Just thinking about it, I'm giggling like a crazy person. On top of that, Alicia is a hero to animals. Her new book, The Kind Diet (http://ow.ly/1dPxe), is an inspiration. It's filled with tips, techniques, and delicious recipes to help you live your kindest life possible. Someone give this woman an award! Please!
To win a copy of The Kind Diet, let me know what you favorite movie of 2009 was.
Giveaway ends on Tuesday, March 9th at midnight, PST! Winner will be chosen at random!
Good luck!

Julie & Julia, despite the brutal animal recipes.
I love Clueless too! But for 2009 I'll go with Julie & Julia, if you just look away during all the meat parts. Which I did.
I don't watch movies either. Glad I'm not the only one.
Julie and Julia, The Proposal, or Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs
I think the only theater movie I saw in 2009 was Julie and Julia, but I didn't really like it...
So, it probably would have been one of the other ones that I didn't see.
I loved julie and julia
I just got Netflix, and I've been catching up on some good movies...so, let's see.
500 Days of Summer
Up
Zombieland
VR, get outta here! ;)
I rarely go to see movies, but I rent them all the time. I did just see 500 Days of Summer on netflix and it was cute.
Twilight New Moon was the first movie I've seen in a theater since my daughter was born 2 years ago! I read all the books-like a geek- so thats my vote.....
Definitely "Up"! It was adorable.
The Fantastic Mr. Fox was way good, I thought. Did District 9 come out in 2009? I just saw that and really liked it despite myself.
Up in the Air with George Clooney
Avatar, I think. Not to be a part of the bandwagon or anything
Avatar was incredible. I also really liked The Hurt Locker.
Little Ashes. wasn't that great of a movie really but interesting.
Ponyo was cute too.
THE HANGOVER.
Yes, Up for sure. Adorable. My sister was nannying and asked the little girl (7 or 8 years) how that movie was, and she said, "It was a GREAT movie... but ideally one you'd be holding your mommy's hand while watching, because it was kinda sad."
It's Complicated was FUNNY!!! Not politically correct and there were some vegan-iffy parts, but still it was great.
I didn't go to the movies very much last year, but I really liked 500 Days of Summer.
