My favorite summer vacation is a camping trip somewhere on the Great Lakes with my family. I'd really love to take my kids to a fun water park...if it were warm enough!
I am not a fan of heat, so my ideal summer vacation would take me to a nice cool place. It would be wonderful to go to Siberia or Finland, possibly Lapland. I know it's not your average vacation, but I would love it.
Deep Creek Lake, Maryland-- there's hiking and the lake and waterfalls and whatnot in the summer, then skiing in the winter. And ahem! A certain vegwebber lives right close by!
Or Costa Rica. But um, that doesn't count because I don't want to vacation there, I want to LIVE there.
My dream vacation would be a 6 month tour of Europe. I'd love to be to take my time and wander to wherever catches my fancy. Although Hawaii would be good too.
My dream vacation is anywhere by the sea. This year it is a short ferry ride to Galiano island BC.
on the beach with lots of sunshine, a nice summer breeze. . .at Lake Champlain in Vermont. . .including a cottage on the water front. . . relax with friends and family . . .a big party with lots of yummy vegan food. we could go for long walks and swim and love life. For special treats vegan s'mores with organic grahams, fair trade organic dark chocolate and Sweet and Sara Toasted Coconut Marshmallows shared with all of the favorite people in my like.
Summer in France....ahhh...I visited a couple of summers ago and I'll never be satisfied with anything less! Burgundy...grassy fields rippling in the breeze, late sunsets creating shadows on the medieval chateau. Chartres...sun arcing through the great stained glass rose windows of the cathedral. Paris...sipping wine as the sun sets and the Eiffel Tower light show begins. Versailles...the gardens in full bloom (see pic)...
my family's property in the pan-handle of Idaho....sky a tapestry of stars when clear, when not boisterous thunderstorms that shake the ground and drench you in rain as warm as bath water! river flowing right below you, crickets chirping, frogs croaking by the pond, elk and moose calling out to one another, scolding you for blocking their way to the watering hole, cherry plum lined drive way, black berry scented air in the warm sun.....I miss 'home'
I'd love to go to India. :)
There are a million places I would love to visit - however my true dream summer vacation would be right were I am :o
My wish would be to have a very long summer with no work - and be able to do want I wanted within reason. There are so many places that I would love to visit - or drive up to the hidden little creeks and state parks - I just don't have time to explore my hometown as much as I would like too.
In all fairness I do live along the Florida panhandle :)>>> white beaches, emerald green water, and an small artsy town.
Yummy-can't wait to try these! My dream vacation spot is a cabin surrounded by fruit trees in Corvalis, Oregon.
Somewhere cool and drizzly (I live in the hot hot hot desert). A peaceful cabin in the woods where all I can hear are the birds chirping and the breeze blowing through the trees.
Dream spot would be somewhere really green and by a lake or water without a whole lot of people around.
Somewhere I could hear the birds sing and whatever else.
I've always wanted to vacation in Italy. Its such a beautiful place.
England...I have been dying to go there my whole life!
I haven't had a vacation in 6 years. I'd love to go anywhere that I could just relax and sleep in and be fed lovely vegan food that I didn't have to cook and it was warm but not too hot.
I've always wanted to spend a summer in British Colombia, Canada. BUT the best summer vacations I've ever had have been in a cottage on a beach. A week (or more) living in a cozy cottage situated on a sunny, sandy beach (anywhere, really) would be an absolute dream...
I'd like to get out of the Texas heat and go explore a cooler and more veg-friendly northern city in the Northwest or Northeast.
I got my berry chocolates today. They arrived surprisingly well considering the heat. I put them in the fridge to firm because they were sort of melted but I did lick one out of the wrapper! and it was very good!
Puerto Vallarta, Mexico.
Mmmm.... margaritas, beaches, enormous swimming pools, volleyball, cute little shops on the boardwalk, open-air resort lobbies....
Mexico. How I miss thee.
