Best Ever Ice-Cream
What you need:
1 cup frozen fruit (I like strawberries, peaches or blueberries)
1 frozen presliced banana
maple syrup or natural sugar, to taste
nondairy milk, as needed
What you do:
1. Process fruit and sweetener in food processor.
2. If fruit doesn't want to blend, add about 1/4 cup nondairy milk.
3. Add more milk, as needed for desired consistency.
This is so easy and so yummy. Sometimes, I add wheat germ on the top when I put the ice cream in bowls for a yummy crunch on top.If you thin this down, it makes a nice shake also. The bananas are your natural sweetener and creaminess in this. Enjoy!

SO HOW'D IT GO?
I made this tonight for my boyfriend and myself. Who knew a frozen banana could be so much like ice cream!?! I used a frozen banana, a few splashes of soymilk, some vanilla extract, some cinnamon, and a handful of chocolate chips. It was wonderful! Even the carnivore bf, who was a little freaked out about the soymilk, was impressed. I can't wait to try it with other fruits.
Yummy and so easy!
I had heaps of strawberries left of over from Christmas, so I'm glad I put them to use.
I might try this with vanilla essence or coconut milk next.
I've tried to make it with strawberries and it was sooo tasty!!! i put some walnuts on top and COULDN'T STOP EATING it. I even forgot to take picture. It was like real real real ice-cream! Thanks for the recipe!
This was great! I used a mango that I had to get rid of. It was yummy!
O.K so I tried this this morning and it was so so good. It was so easy, I chopped up the banana in the food processor and then drizzled light vanilla soy milk little bits at a time. I didn't add anyother fruit and no sweetener. It was smooth and creamy!!! YUM YUM
Banana & grape = super yummy!!
I saw this recipe a while ago and forgot to make it - only remembered about it tonight. Because of this I didn't have enough time to freeze my fruit completely, but it still came out lovely and creamy - kind of like half melted ice cream (which is how I like it anyway).
I didn't add any sweetener & it was definitely sweet enough, and only used a small splash of soya milk - maybe a tablespoonful.
I will certainly be keeping banana in my freezer from now on so I can make this super yummy, healthy dessert whenever I want!
The only thing I think is bad about the recipe is that it says it serves 2 or 3 - no way, I easily scoffed this on my own (and now want more of it!!).
Thank you!
PS Kolormehappygirl - I think vanilla soy milk would be absolutely fantastic in this - may have to go buy some myself just for this recipe. Banana and vanilla is way yummy in my opinion.
Hi! I am new to this website and sooooo excited to try this ice cream. Just one question - has anybody tried it with vanilla soy milk instead of regular? or would that mess up the taste somehow when combined with the bananas? i have bananas and vanilla soy milk in my cereal and in my oatmeal so maybe it would be awesome in ice cream as well???
Vanilla soy milk is perfect for this. add it in very gradually so it stays thick not runny :)

So dang delish, hard to contain myself next time I will have to double batch or make more often.
I'm completely obsessed with this. No fancy kitchen gadgets here, i just mush mine up with a fork after letting the fruits thaw a wee bit. I've been making blueberry-banana, and it really is perfectly sweet without adding in maple syrup or sugar. For extra texture and flavor, it's amazing with crunched up dark chocolate. Soooo goooood.
