Rosemary Rubbing Alcohol (for massage, etc.)
1 (16 ounce) bottle isopropyl rubbing alcohol
2-3 (4") fresh rosemary sprigs
1. Place the fresh rosemary sprigs in the bottle of rubbing alcohol, making sure they are covered. You may want to trim them to fit. The sprigs don't have to be whole.
2. Cover bottle tightly and allow to stand for 2-3 days before use.
3. Rub on the skin with the hands, either giving brisk friction or a deeper massage, according to need.
This infused alcohol is used to massage bed patients, people in wheelchairs, etc. It relieves tension and muscular pain, mildly stimulates the circulation to the skin and smells wonderful, leaving a clean fresh feeling behind. The rosemary scent is pleasant and not overpowering, easing stress and elevating mood.
Source of recipe: This is a traditional remedy in Spain that I wanted to share.
