Seen on a T-shirt worn by a tourist here, from Ottawa:
"Don't breed or buy while shelter pets die."
I just had to go up and shake her hand! Turns out she volunteers at her local shelter. What she told us about lethal gas chambers will haunt me forever. (Like, the death process takes 20 min...I won't go on.)
Dang, I should have got her adress and got her to send me a T-shirt when she got home...

Gas chambers are not only EVIL but illegal in most places. Its haunting to hear about because it really is cruel! Did she say that was happening at your local shelter? Honestly Id personally rather somebody shoot me in the head than to die like that. I think THAT would be a more human option...Well if she said it was happening at your local shelter I want to encourage you to get active! I'm not sure what steps to take but I'm pretty darn sure that if law enforcement didn't work (or if the law in your area permits such things to occur...tell everyone. Even Omnis hate to hear about gas chambers...sick sick sick.....I'm sorry you had t o hear all that first hand. I'm glad she wears that shirt.
