2 tablespoons olive oil
1 teaspoon chopped garlic
4 pieces sliced Italian bread
red pepper flakes, to taste, optional
parsley, to garnish
1. Heat up the oil and garlic in a frying pan. Add red pepper flakes, if desired. Put the vegan bread in.
2. After 1-2 minutes, flip the vegan bread over (hopefully there will still be some oil left for it to soak up on the other side; if not, don't worry.)
3. After a few more minutes, it should be ready (nice and crispy). If you want to make it look even nicer, garnish with parsley.
This tastes a lot better than using garlic powder (I hate that stuff!) and is almost just as easy. The chopped garlic I use comes in a jar and it's super fast and easy to use, all you need is a spoon.
