SO HOW'D IT GO?
I didn't like these cookies. The dough was crumbly, the didn't flatten at all, were bland tasting, and very grainy tasting as well. I would not make these again.
We thought the taste of these cookies (and the dough!) was really good, but the texture was weird. When we were mixing it in the bowl, it felt more like a pie crust with the oil and flour and no other liquid ingredients. It was really difficult to form it into cookies on the cookie sheet. We did use the Ener-G egg replacer instead of applesauce, so I might try them again when I have some applesauce at home. However, we were also a bit concerned with the amount of oil--everything was pretty greasy. The cookies came out dry, but like I said, they tasted really good!
so after baking- i think these were the best cookies i ever had!
So I used all whole grain flour, a small banana mashed with some almond milk for the egg sub and then 1/3 c oil and 1/3 c applesauce. Otherwise everything was the same. The dough is awesome, I dont even know if they will make it to the oven!
These are frickin' awesome! I will be using this recipe for ccc's from now on!
I made these for my environment club table at school for club day to lure people over. Strangers were complimenting me, begging for just one more, and demanding how I made these so delicious. Thank you so much! They came out perfect :)
I cant wait to make them again.
Delicious! However, I prepared them using Earth Balance (melted) in place of the oil. The batter was a bit dry though so I added a tiny but of warm water until the consistency seemed right and then baked them for about 12 minutes. YUMMMY! I am on my third :)
these are soo yummy!! we didn't have brown sugar so i used raw sugar (not sure if vegans can but as i'm dairy intolerant the sugar i use doesn't matter 2 much for me...) and when it came to adding the choc chips i kinda poured them in and surprise surprise super chocolatley. Yum. ;)b i may be in love with this recipe now :)>>> if that is possible hehe
Well, I made quite a few changes (less sugar, whole wheat pastry flour, less oil, some EB, more vanilla.....), but they came out really great! They look amazing, that's for sure! Perfect looking chocolate chip cookies, and great tasting!
SO good. Usually my chocolate chip cookies come out to greasy, and i was skeptical at first but theyre perfect when there done. I think the applesauce makes the difference between this and other cookies?
