Baked Banana Gooey Goodness

What you need:

1 yellow (not too ripe) banana
1-2 tablespoons fruit preserves (I like strawberry)
1 tablespoon vegan chocolate chips

What you do:

1. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees F. Make sure your rack is in the middle of the oven. Once the oven is ready, place the banana (peel on) directly on the rack.
2. Let it bake for about 5-10 minutes. While the banana is heating up, spoon the preserves into a bowl. The banana is going to get darker, don't worry. Take it out when it is primarily brown but some yellow is still visible.
3. With mittened hands, unwrap the banana and cut it into the bowl. Mix the preserves and banana together. They should melt together nicely.
4. Pour the chocolate chips on top which make it ultra ooey gooey good.

SO HOW'D IT GO?

This turned out well. This is what I did-

I chopped 1 banana into slices and baked them at 250 for about 5 minutes. In a bowel I mixed together raspberry jam, crunchy peanut butter, and chocolate chips. I mashed in the banana when it was done. Then I put the entire mixture back into the oven for a few minutes.
