SO HOW'D IT GO?
In line with the comments above, I also added a few lentils. The rice was beautifully tender, with a little bite-- absolutely perfect. I think I could have spiced it a little more, but a great recipe.
I really liked this recipe! I had never thought to bake rice and it was a nice change! I used cumin and mustard seeds instead of the green onion (didn't have any), 2 minced garlic cloves, vegetable broth, added a can of crushed tomatoes and decreased the water by a cup, and topped it off with indianish spices. Tasty!
this was wonderful. so easy yet so delicious. i used vegetable broth instead of just water; next time i'll add lentils as someone suggested above. also, i used jasmine rice. thank you very much for this great recipe.
This was very good. I wanted it to be more of a complete meal so I threw in some lentils and upped the water content just a bit. It had an excellent overall flavor and I will definitely be adding this to my regular meal rotation.
This rice is soooo good! I doubled the recipe and made it with vegetable broth but other than that followed it exactly, although had to bake it over an hour but maybe that was because of the short grain brown rice. I love the delicious sauce especially and the texture is perfect. :)
i used fresh basil instead of parsley and added some shredded carrot. the result was fantastic
This rice was awesome! There were some changes I had to make though because I have like no food in my house. I used ginger and dry mustard instead of sage and a regular onion instead of green. But still the idea was there and the result was fabulous.
