Banana Soy Yogurt
What you need:
1 (12-ounce) package Mori-Nu firm silken tofu, drained
1/2 medium banana, broken into pieces
1/4 cup water
1 tablespoon vegan sweetener of choice
1/4 teaspoon almond extract
1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
What you do:
Combine all ingredients in blender or food processor; blend until smooth. Sweeteners can be adjusted to taste.

I don't think it really matters. I use extra firm when firm is called for and just add a little extra liquid. But! Make sure it's silken. Regular tofu won't be as smooth.
This recipe says to use mori... tofu but there are 2 types firm and extra firm does it matter which one I use?

After several failed attempts to make my own soy yogurt, I was so happy to come across this recipe. It tastes awesome!
You could definitely add some chopped mint and cilantro to this, a little salt and use it as a nice cool dollop on side of some spicy indian food. YUM.
My only 'beef' with tofu yogurt is that it lacks the probiotics you'd get from the soy yogurt or nut/seed/coconut yogurt. :-\
Just made this.. Very scummy! I have been looking for a yogurt substitute for a while, but the store-bought ones just don't do it for me.. It was a bit on the runny side so i added more banana and tofu (I also added cinnamon for taste).. What size tofu did everyone else use, perhaps mine was smaller?
Any ideas for a savory yogurt?
Thanks for the recipe! It was great, and even with oldish tofu, it turned out perfect.
But I added a bit more flavor, to cover up that tofu-y taste.
Oh my goodness! This is fantastic! I too shall be making this all the time. Experimented and made a batch with blueberries and another with strawberries. Yum! :) I wonder how well it freezes?
