SO HOW'D IT GO?
my favorite go to biscuits. love me some biscuits and gravy! om nom nom.
Well that is great, just what I've been looking for.And btw, I am new here.
Think I am going to stay awhile. Cheers
:D
Something went horribly wrong with my biscuits! They were very lumpy and the outside got all flaky and the inside didn't really cook. I had to throw them away. I thought I followed the recipe exactly so I'm not sure where I went wrong!
I LOVED the flavor of these. The nutritional yeast added a delightful aftertaste.
However, these biscuits didn't turn out very well for me. I followed the recipe perfectly, but the biscuits would only brown on the bottom --- remaining completely unchanged otherwise. Were nice and crispy/flaky on the outside.... but the inside was really doughy :(... Hope everyone else has better luck than I did.
Super tasty! I added extra nut. yeast, and some garlic powder... the extra nooch required some more soy milk, but it came out great! I'm going to these with "sausage" gravy soon, my boyfriend has been CRAVING that. :)
I bet roasted garlic with some rosemary would be tasty too! I've got some experimenting to do...
And for the first time I've ever made biscuits (not from a cardboard tube), I'm impressed! Thanks a bunch for this recipe!!! :D
my friend made these. we used a blend of rice and soy milk and no nutritional yeast.
slightly creamy and sweet. they were perfect.
FIRST TIME MAKING BISCUITS AND I JUST WANT TO SAY THANK YOU, THANK YOU, AND THANK YOU AGAIN. THESE WERE SIMPLE TO MAKE AND VERY DELICIOUS. THREW TOGETHER SOME VEGAN GRAVY WITH SUASAGE CRUMBLES, AWESOME. I'M GOINGTO MAKE THESE FOR MY VEGAN SISTER AND HER FAMILY WHEN THEY VISIT IN ACOUPLE OF WEEKS. THANKS AGAIN ;)
These were really good, and I wasn't expecting a whole lot. I subbed half the margarine for canola oil. They came out really good. I added a little bit of fresh rosemary to them which helped too, I think I might add more herbs next time and make them a bit bigger. If you make the 15 as suggested they will be really small.
I had to get a ride to the store to get the baking powder, but it was well worth the effort. These biscuits turned out perfectly. I used 1 cp of soymilk instead of 3/4. I baked them for 13 minutes, and the tops were still white, but they were done. Excellent and easy recipe!
Oh- and I made bigger biscuits. Mine only made 7 instead of 15,
