SO HOW'D IT GO?
i made these once and the batter didn't stick to the dog. probably my fault, but be weary!
What you want to do is roll the dogs in cornstarch until they are lightly coated. Sounds weird but it is an old trick ;). It makes them stick.
These are so awesome! 8-)
Even my omnivore family members liked them. Thank you very much for this recipe. :)>>>
;)b These were really yummy! Thanks for the recipe. The batter was just perfect. I served mine with a cous cous dish.

do you think its possible to bake these.. maybe cut down on the oil/fat?
Oh my gosh. :o So I tried this recipe today and I cannot believe how good it is. You were right about one thing! ... It is very bad for you but awesome. I used yves hot dogs. I didn't have any soy milk so I used water instead and it turned out perfect. I also didn't fry it with the popsicle stick, I put that in afterwards. You don't need skewers or popsicle sticks. You can just use a fork or tongs. I know mine don't really look like corndogs, (They look all lumpy I know) but they tasted great. I strongly suggest blotting these on a few paper towels, they can get a lot of oil trapped inside. Suprisingly this wasn't as messy as I thought it would be. Thanks for the recipe. I hope others try this at least once. :D
I made these tonight and they were GREAT! Just what I wanted, and even better than the frozen ones I use to eat as a kid.
I didn't have any sticks or skewers, so I just rolled them in the batter with a spoon and plopped them into the pan. I pan-fried them in safflower oil and they came out delicious.
Thanks for the recipe :>
I made these for my kids and hubby tonight and they really liked them. In fact, they all three went on and on. I didn't try them myself because I had some left over soup to eat. ;) Thank you for the recipe. I might try to bake them and see how that goes. I think it will be a nice occasional lunch box treat
