Fresh Blueberry Syrup

What you need:

1 cup water
1/2 cup turbinado sugar (sugar in the raw)
2 pints fresh organic blueberries, divided
1 cup agave nectar
1/2 teaspoon salt

What you do:

1. In a medium saucepan over high heat, combine water and sugar; cook on high until the sugar has dissolved into the water completely (makes simple syrup). Reduce to medium-high heat
2. Add 1 pint of blueberries, agave nectar, and salt; cook untill blueberries have burst and skins have broken open, then cook for 2 or 3 minutes more (the longer you cook at this stage the thicker the syrup will become).
3. Remove from heat and add the second pint of blueberries.
4. Transfer mixture to a heat safe bowl and put in the refrigerator to allow it to cool. Then enjoy, I use it on top of the Favorite Belgian Waffles recipe which is a killer late night dinner of Sunday snack .
Source of recipe: I need something that didn't contain any corn products or refined sugars and was not maple syrup
