Garlic Brussels Sprouts

What you need:

1 1/2 pounds Brussels sprouts
4 tablespoons olive oil
5-6 whole garlic cloves
1/4 cup sliced almonds, unsalted

What you do:

1. Trim the unsightly outer leaves from the sprouts. Trim off bottom stalk and cut each sprout in half, the large ones into quarters. Steam sprouts for only 2-3 minutes, or until bright green and still firm -they will cook longer in the saute stage.
2. Heat olive oil on low heat and saute the cloves slowly for about 5-7 minutes as you flavor the oil. Toss the well-drained sprouts in with the oil and saute for about 3-4 minutes.
3. Add the almonds and saute 2 minutes more. Serve on a serving platter and admire the bright green color and wonderful garlic aroma!'

This was sooo good.  I remember from my childhood that I did not like Brussels Sprouts, but decided to give them one more try.  I loved it and from now I will not be scared of Brussels Sprouts.

yummy!  I always like brussel sprouts, but this is an even tastier way to make it.

Made this for dinner, I minced fresh garlic and added a little salt, covered the pan for about 7 mins. Extremely good. Thanks for the wonderful recipe. Oh yeah-used thawed out brussel sprouts, my grocery store sucks >:(

These were really good.  I haven't had brussel sprouts since I was a kid, at which time I hated them.  But I thought that I would have to give them another shot as an adult, and these were fabulous.  I uploaded a picture, they were very pretty as well.

The recipe that made me fall in love with Brussels sprouts.  I always mince the garlic, though.  Great side dish...

Holy crap! These are awesome! :D I added some salt & pepper toward the end of my saute-ing, and these are seriously delicious! I love the almonds!

I do them this way, and toss in a few fennel seeds and a few hot pepper flakes-- makes a nice combo with the garlic.  Delicious!  I haven't tried the almonds, though, and they sound yummy.
