German Pizza

What you need:

pizza dough for one pizza (can be homemade or store bought)
1 cup kale
2 cloves garlic, minced
2 tablespoons olive oil, divided
1-1/2 cups mashed potatoes
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1 (95-gram) Yves Italian sausage, thinly sliced
3/4 cup sauerkraut
1/4 cup shredded chedder soy cheese

What you do:

1. Pre-heat your oven to 400 degrees F. Roll out your pizza dough on to a pizza pan and put it in the oven for 8 to 10 minutes or until it’s lightly golden brown.
2. Meanwhile saute the kale and garlic in 1 tablespoon of olive oil for about 5 minutes or until tender. Add kale and garlic mixture to mashed potatoes along with salt and pepper.
3. Saute "sausage" in 1 tablespoon olive oil until they begin to brown.
4. Remove the pizza crust from the oven and layer on the mashed potatoes with kale, sauerkraut, sausage, and soy cheese.
5. Put back into the oven for 5 to 7 minutes until everything gets warmed through, then broil for 1 to 2 minutes until the soy cheese melts. Slice and enjoy!

I had already made a German Pizza before, but it was just a mess. I remember, I didn't make that pizza perfectly and it taste really awful, though I am very serious in baking it. Perhaps, I wonder to make another try this time, and I will make sure that my home made German Pizza will be the best pizza I ever tasted.

:)>>> OMFG!  This was soooo amazing!  And I'm not even exaggerating, I swear!  I'd venture to say this was the best pizza I've ever made - and I make pizza all the time!

So, I made my normal pizza dough and baked it by itself at 425 for about 7 minutes.
Made up my mashed potatoes, using 3 yukons and 2 tiny red potatoes, skins on, mashed with a bunch of EB, salt and pepper.
Used about 3 kale leaves, chopped and sauteed with garlic for only about 2 minutes, then mixed them with the taters.
Chopped up a hunk of my 'lunchmeat' from Vegan Dad and lightly browned it.
Put a bunch of sauerkraut in my strainer so it wouldn't make the dough soggy - probably about 1 and a half cups worth.
Put it all on the pizza and topped with Daiya cheddar - baked for about 20 minutes.

I have never been so enamored with a pizza.....my husband was in awe as well....EVERYONE must try it!
(I took a bunch of pictures last night, so if they're any good, I'll post them when I get home)

Wow, thank you! I'm glad you and you husband love it so much.
