Molasses Banana Shake

What you need:

2 cups chocolate nondairy milk (I use soy)
3 ice cubes
1 banana, sliced
1 tablespoon blackstrap molasses

What you do:

1. Put all the ingredients in blender and blend!
2. For a thicker variety, freeze the banana. I like it just this way because it is more like chocolate milk.
We are all looking for a way to incorporate the amazing blackstrap molasses into our daily diet. This is easy and fast!

So good! Didn't add ice, and next time I'll add more molasses.
EDIT: did freeze banana. :)

Reminiscent of Raisin Bran for me. Kids politely passed on it. The molasses flavor must be acquired taste.

This drink is delicious. I prefer to use frozen bananas and extra molasses. By the way, this is a great drink for people with low iron because of the mineral content in molasses.

Loved this!  I too used chocolate almond milk and increased the amount of molasses.  I also doubled the amount of ice cubes for a colder, icier drink.  This is a great dessert drink for a hot summer (or spring) afternnoon.  Thanks for the recipe!

This was yummy!  I used a frozen banana and the consistency was just right for me.  I also used chocolate almond milk rather than soy because of allergies.
