SO HOW'D IT GO?

I just finished my cup -- near the end of the cup, there was an icky film... not appetising!

Yeah there was cocoa mud at the bottom of mine like there always is when I use this one brand of cocoa. Any suggestions for other brands??

This recipe was very tasty. Just like my old hot chocolate recipe but with soymilk rather than real milk. I need to find some vegan "cool whip" or something to put on top so that it tastes just like the vegan hot cocoa I fell in love with on a road trip.  :)>>>

I made this in the microwave, and it is really good. I also combined water, sugar, and cocoa first, then heated it--it made it smooth as opposed to lumpy, like mine always has been in the past. I used vanilla soy milk, then added a bit more vanilla, plus cinnamon. The only bad part is now I know how easy it is to make good hot cocoa...

Okay I just made this but used 1.5 cups of soymilk and melted the cocoa and sugar with the hot water ahead of time thanks to the suggestions of others.  The consistency was perfect.  I also used mint cocoa.  It was amazing!!  It warmed me up and made me super happy!  Thanks for the recipe.  I will be living off of this on cold days.

I used stevia also and used Almond Milk.  Very good, even if its without vanilla and cinnamon.  I also added some instant coffee crystals.  I would have used regular coffee, but didn't want to take the time to brew it.
But stir!  the cocoa takes awhile to dissolve.

Just had my mug of Piping Hot Cocoa and liked it very much.  I found that it was rich and creamy; a little too rich for my personal taste so I added 1/2 cup more milk, perfect fix. I liked the consistent creaminess, nice.  Thanks for the recipe, I will definitely be making it again and again.

Yummy! Next time I think I will probably add less cocoa, or just more soymilk/water. Very rich! Definitely good cocoa. If you're going to add cinnamon, I recommend whisking it in.
