Simple Chai Tea Latte

What you need:

1 Chai tea bag
1 cup soymilk
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
3-4 dashes of cinnamon (or to taste)
1/2 - 1 teaspoon sugar

What you do:

I love chai lattes so I had to find a quick and easy way to make them at home. On the stove combine soymilk, vanilla, cinnamon, and sugar and heat on low-med heat. This shouldn't take more than 5 minutes, you don't need to bring it to a boil, just get it hot.
Place mixture in mug, add teabag to steep for 2-3 minutes and enjoy!
*You can also add other spices: nutmeg, black pepper, cloves, all spice...but I like to keep mine simple.

SO HOW'D IT GO?

Wow!  That first recipe was no good!  A very far cry from the Starbuck's version.  I'll stick with the directions from the box.  It was fun experimenting though!

Just a suggestion...

My box of Chai Tea gives the following instructions (paraphrased):

For each 8oz cup, bring 3/4 water, 1/4 cup soy milk, and 1 Chai tea bag to a rolling boil in pan. Simmer on low heat 2-4 minutes. (I think the simmering makes it more flavorful.) Pour in cup(s) and sweeten to taste (traditionally prepared quite sweet to bring out the flavor of the spices).

I wouldn't think that it would be necessary to add spices since there are usually already enough in the Chai tea bags. (Unless you are using black tea or want it really spicy.)

Hope this is helpful. It always comes out great for me.
