Spicy Roasted Asparagus

What you need:

1 bunch asparagus, trimmed
2 tablespoons olive oil
pinch salt
1 tablespoon chili powder

What you do:

1. Preheat oven to 450 degrees F. Lay out asparagus in a single layer on a baking sheet. Drizzle olive oil over asparagus, lightly coating each stalk.
2. Sprinkle salt, then liberally apply chili powder to the asparagus.
3. Roast in the oven for about 10 minutes, or until the asparagus begins to brown. The tips become slightly crispy, and this is especially tasty!
This is an easy way to make asparagus taste spicy and earthy. It goes great with tofu barbeque!

Delicious!  Served it chopped up in some lentils and quinoa to make it a full meal.  What was said about the crispy tops was absolutely true!  Very tasty!

This was a nice side dish. This was a great alternative to our usual. Instead of chili powder, we usually use grated lemon zest with lots of salt and pepper and then drizzle with a Tablespoon of lemon juice when it comes out of the oven.
