Wonton Asparagus Ravioli

What you need:

8 stalks asparagus, chopped finely
1 small onion, chopped
garlic, to taste
sesame oil, as needed
teriyaki sauce, to taste
30 vegan wonton wrappers

What you do:

1. To prepare asparagus, mix with onion and saute in garlic and oil about 10 minutes, or until cooked down.
2. Stir in teriyaki sauce. Either mash a bit with a fork or blend for a few quick seconds to get a smoother consistency.
3. To prepare wontons, spoon a small amount of asparagus filling onto one wonton. Take another and seal the two using a fork (I had to wet the edges).
4. Warm sesame oil in pan (last chance to add any other flavors). Saute ravioli about 5 minutes, flipping if you like, and serve! Drizzle some teriyaki sauce on top.

SO HOW'D IT GO?

Awesome taste but the serving size is definitely small unless you eat like a bird! I would multiply this recipe by 4 at least!  ;)b

These were really good. I also made the creamy garlic sauce as suggested and it was a perfect pair!

These went over really well, and seeing as how I grow my own asparagus it is also a very cheap dish to make.

super easy and super excellent! i was tempted by the more italian variation that animal_g suggested but in the end laziness won out  8-). i left the filling a little chunky, and that was fine. hm. what else...oh. i also only used one wonton wrapper  because with two it seemed like not enough filling for all of the wrapper part. ee i have a picture too (:

I made this again with some new ideas added to it. I processed the raw onion and asparagus first with a clove of garlic and then threw it in a frying pan on top of some heated sesame oil. It turned a bright green and sauteed nicely. I replaced the teriyaki sauce in the recipe with the creamy garlic sauce recipe on this site. the result was great. I will make it again this way and will probably keep experimenting with different sauces. I do like the asparagus/onion.garlic filling  ^-^ it is a classy flavor dimension.

these are really good and pretty easy to make.
I used the simple teriyaki sauce recipe from this site to go with it.
I think that if I were to switch the teriyaki sauce with a pesto or alfredo something like that it would be really good italian favlored dish as well. nice and versatile, thanks for the recipe  8)
