Any other non-TV watching Vegwebbers out there?

We cut the cord several years ago.  I have a television & we rent movies from time to time.  Just can’t watch TV – no cable or an antenna or anything.  I know more vegetarians than people without TV.  So how bout it, anyone else out there?

oh well.  once the promo that came with my internet runs out (january i think) we'll be getting rid of it.

I read this quickly the first time I read:

once the porno that came with my internet runs out (january i think) we'll be getting rid of it.

I developed a fine and private hatred for TV when I was a kid in the 60s and 70's. Between a very deaf father who would sit and soak in all those cop shows with screaming-siren chase scenes ("One Adam 12, One Adam 12, 2-11 in progress) in order not to have to talk to family members, and an obnoxious elder brother who "owned" the channel switch and made us sit thru crappy reruns like Gilligan and the Flintstones or horrible sitcoms (which I found cringe-making even at age 6, to think that adults would act like that), I soon learned that books and documentaries were my best friends. All through college I avoided it pretty much. Then the commercial breaks got longer and longer and longer. Spanish TV puts so many commercials in these days that a 90 min movie runs for almost 3 hours. I don't have time.

And now that I am working and writing more, I simply don't think about it. Not even my beloved Radio 4.
