My name's pretty easy -- 7 --I have seven children. However, some of the names here at vegweb are pretty thought provoking. How did you come to choose your name?

My husband is a children's librarian. I worked the circ desk a few years back to pay for school and that is how we met :)

WeeLittleBuddy....where did she get that???
I always refer things to "little buddy": my boyfriend, people, kids, bugs, animals, just about anything. I added Wee in front of it just to make it a little more intersting, even though "wee" and "little" are the same thing ;)
I like to have fun, carefree and enjoy life.....Whenever I possibly can. I think its good to be silly (whenever appropriate of course). I hope that explains a little about me.

I've enjoyed reading all of your stories! Unfortunately, my username comes with no interesting tale. It's my first initial, second initial, and my maiden name.

This is the best thread ever. I feel like it gives a glimpse into the lives and minds of everyone I've come to know and love online here... and yes, that goes for those of you who are using your real names! How brave and honest and straightforward you are!

apstaats--I'm currently taking a math class called AP Stats (short for advanced placement statistics). I always thought your name had something to do with math for that reason. Good to know the truth!

Hey John, Majicka414, & NoIllusions! John.....I had a studio for a while in Massapequa on Clocks Blvd (near train tracks) when I lived on LI. Majicka414, when I first left college, & before I moved into NYC, I rented a house with some friends on the water on Narragansett Ave in Seaford. It's the first street when you get off of the Seaford Oyster Bay Expy onto Merrick Rd. (heading east). It was a real animal house (3 drummers living on the water= :D)....until we got flooded out by 2' of water and I woke up to watch my Porsche floating down the street :'( (It was the first present I ever bought myself after the first BIG tour I was hired to do.....oh BTW....I don't waste my $ on foolish things like that anymore....I was still pretty young and stupid....now I'm just stupid). NoIllusions, where in Bellmore? You live there now? I went to Mepham HS. But I'll be honest guys.....After being up there recently.....I'm glad I'm off the Island! :P -dave

What about "laurenmisplaced"?
Well, it came out of a much disillusioned, much younger me after having my heart broken and breaking another's heart and moving to yet another state. My first name is Lauren. The "misplaced" came from me feeling like I had no real place to be. My entire immediate family had moved out of southern California to various places throughout the country and I didn't feel like I had a home to go back to. Now, I view it as no matter where I might be physically in life that it really doesn't matter. ;)

I'm actually a math teacher, and was a little sad to see my cool name go when I got married!
If you're in AP Stats, you must like math too! Yay for math!!! :D

I'm with hopfrog on the dark literary referrents. Asenath is the name of a character in one of my favorite short stories by HP Lovecraft: "The Thing on the Doorstep." She's not particularly cool--actually very evil--but I like the name. Lovecraft is a writer who troubles me a lot, but (or maybe therefore) I can never seem to let him go.
