Vegweb is sure full of cuties! Ally--I really like your wedding drees avatar--it always made me happy! For some reason I always got this image of you jumping on a trampoline then floating down to the ground perfectly before it was taken--I know...I'm weird...

I can see the picture when I go to my profile..but not in the posts yet..hm. Thanks, VS! I wore the shirt to my aunt's for dinner...and now it has pug hair all over it. ;D (+ I wanted to show it off in the picture-I actually got mine at a discount b/c they had blue "misprints" with smaller print ^-^)
Ally, was your wedding entirely vegan? I'm just asking because I saw on the VegNews website that they had pictures of people who celebrated their wedding in a way that it's definitely not harmful to animals and very considering of the environment as well. I just thought it was interesting. I'm certainly not in the process of getting hitch myself any time soon, but it's always great to know all the options that are open for us.

No, we were married a year ago..and have only been vegan for about 6 months. I did prepare all of the food for the wedding, and it was basically all DIY..so it wasn't too wasteful. The food was all vegetarian. But, it definitely would have been easily doable as vegan, as well. I bought the majority of the decorating supplies, dresses, attire, shoes..etc. on ebay, and I think the only things that were totally unnecessary were the things that my mother-in-law had control over (planting lots of unnecessary plants, having a tent..). So, I can easily imagine it being done vegan! We didn't want anybody throwing anything at us...but someone thought it necessary..so we had some cheerios tossed at us. ;)

In Spain they throw rose and carnation petals instead of rice. I think it's nice. You tell your florist when the wedding is going to be and they round up all the fallen petals and the less-than-fresh flowers they couldn't sell and bag up the petals for you.

And I like idea of roses and carnations petals. Back home, we still throw paper confettis or soap bubbles.
