I need convincing

I got $600 as a graduation/birthday gift from my grandmother.  I've been considering getting a Vitamix for a while now, but they are very expensive and I am a saver, not a spender.  Anything that costs more than $20 or so requires quite a bit of deliberation with myself.  I try to talk about it with my husband, but he always says "just get it" and doesn't give me the conversation I want.  I could invest $600 in our new house fund--but I could also get a Vitamix.  Everything I hear about it is great.

So please, just one more time, everyone tell me how great the Vitamix is--I need something to push me over the hill (of course anyone with a negative experience, go ahead and tell me that too).  Thanks!

Elizabeth

I understand exactly what you mean.  For myself, it is a Canon XTi DSLR camera that is about $800 that I want really really bad, but alas, my credit card takes preference.  If somebody gave me $800 as a gift I still doubt that I would get that Camera because I have so many bills that need to be paid off, credit card, student loans, etc.

However, I did use my sign on bonus to buy a washer/dryer($1200)  and a $700 Trek bike and I regret neither one of those purchases.  I LOVE my bike and my washer/dryer are very handy, I hate going to laundry mats.  So the choice is up to you.  Maybe if you buy that Vitamix it may convince me to buy that DSLR camera I want so so so bad, ahhhh...no...no...no camera...camera is evil...I have point and shoot that works just fine...but DSLR is soooo much better....no
