Ipod question

I accidentally dunked Smooch's Ipod in some water. It didn't work at all for a couple days. Now it works except for the screen doesn't light up, which makes it kindof hard to see sometimes. Does anyone know how I can get the screen to light up again? I offered to buy him a new one, but he said I was being silly.
Did you try resetting it?
I think that's how I got it to work to again. But myabe I could try resetting it again. I'm not sure what model it is, so I don't know which resetting directions to follow really. It's a nano, but I don't know what generation. I guessed 3rd when I was messing with it a couple days ago.
Have you plugged it into the computer yet? Sometimes that helps.
yep! at first the computer didn't recognize it, but once I reset the ipod the computer came around
i have that same question about my ipod....I didn't get it wet but it just suddenly stopped working today
Hey, can I ask another ipod question here? Or would that be hijacking? Ok, well, I'll ask anyway and apologize in advance if I should've started my own thread.
Anyway. I had my ipod registered to a school-issued laptop, but I had to turn in the laptop. So I made sure everything I had on itunes was loaded into my ipod.
So, now I have a new computer and when I plug my ipod in, it won't let me transfer the music to the new computer. Anyone know how to fix this?
Thanks.

You can't. ipod's only let you go from computer to ipod, not vice versa.

my band director last year had an issue similar to this, except his computer died. i think there's a program out there that allows it. perhaps do a quick google search?
well, i only have an old shuffle my bank gave me for free, but i washed it once and it still works!
Might this help, lotus?

Apple makes it difficult to do, but I guess it can be done.
Thanks KMK. I just browsed that site. I hope it will work. I am gonna have to try to figure it out later. Thanks again! :)
