Lifetime vegweb subscription

I just bought my lifetime vegweb subscription.  I decided that $34.95 now beats subscribing $9.95 for three months over and over again.  I won't get the credit card bill that the charge is on until after payday so it'll still be OK (sort of) with the DH.  ;D

I just hope vegweb stays on-line and in business for the next 50 years because that's at least how long I plan on the rest of my lifetime being!!!!!

I just noticed that this morning as well.... I am pretty sure I JUST subscribed to one year for $25 or something... what a rip... LOL j/k
I'm thinking about doing it too! Might as well, right? We all know I'm an addict!

They have this promotion from time to time. I got in on the last time they had such a deal. It's nice not to have to think about it. :)

Again, I ask.  Beside supporting this wonderful site, which is reason enough alone, what are the benefits to a subscription?
Someone said messaging, but for some reason I can message without one- Adamcrisis and I tried last night.

If only I had a job... hmmm...

When you say messaging, do you mean e-mail? I didn't try e-mailing before I subscribed, but I thought e-mailing was one of the benefits. Anyone? Anyone?

sort of, more like Veg Web email

click on a profile and you can send a message to them and they back to you

Oh, that reminded me- one benefit is you can see other subscribers email and such, correct?

yea...but most people who are not subscribers just mention their email/myspace somewhere else in their profile so others can see it too.

A subscription to support a cause, of course, is always a great thing. And this website -- with the wonderful recipes, people, educational sources and purpose -- definitely merits that.

But I was wondering that too, about the benefits of being a VegWeb subscriber, as I'm not really an "Instant Message" or "My Space" type of person.

Do you think once their promotional 34.95 subscription is gone, the live chat feature will be gone with it for nonsubscribers?

I'd pay but I don't have a bank account or credit card. Maybe I'll ask my boy.

I think I read somewhere on the profile or subscription setting that if you subscribe you can initiate messages to others.  If you are not a subscriber you can reply back to someone's message, but not initiate them.

I agree with those who've pointed out it's worth it just to support this great site!  ...So we know it'll be here in 50 years!  ;)

Maybe it'll get to you before next Saturday. Here's hoping... :)

Actually, whoever was "admin" in the chat the other day (I assume Yvette) said they'd renew the chat feature for another month if we were all going to use it.
