hey guys, my beautiful daughter last week turned vegetarian, i am so proud of her, can you all give her a message hello via her profile and give her some support and encouragement
her profile name is devils daughter
thanks a lot you guys
I was browsing VegFriends a few days ago and came across your profile. From what I understood, you met your husband on vegweb. Did I get that correct?
yup thats right, 21 months ago, and we married a month ago, we both see it as our rewards for being vegan ;D
Yahoo Groups has a group, transitioning_veggie, that your daughter may be interested in. It was started by some people who post here to help answer questions and offer support for people who are transitioning into the lifestyle.
I joined the vegetarinan yahoo group and no one ever sends out post, mine is still the "newest" one there...I guess they all moved of the grid!
Oh well, this place is pretty darn great so I dont feel so bad!
ive been with vegweb pretty much since they started up, and i met my wonderful husband on here, so i have every praise in the world for vegweb hehe, i will check yahoo out tho but ive never been left wanting with this site, i have made some beautiful friends here who i meet up with, vegweb rocks ;D

They started the other one because there were a few comments by new posters about how they had lurked for years but were intimidated by everyone's veg*n-ness. So, they started the Yahoo place just for the new and shy, before shipping them off over to here. The problem with Yahoo groups is that they're not user friendly, which is what I think the biggest hold up is to getting it off the ground.
