Hey Everone!
SO I just started back at school and for the first time I am taking a couple of classes on-line. I didn't think I would like it--but surprise, surprise, I love it! All those times I went to a lecture and had the teacher read to me from the book are over! Now I can stay at home and read for myself! And since I am becoming more and more agoraphobic--it really takes the stress off of me to go out and be forced to be around other people--I know that sounds awful--but I just like being home in my jammies better to campus. I find being around so many 18 yr olds disturbing! Anyways just thought I would share my new found academic love ::)
Good for you Capture! :)
Unfortunately I don't have the discipline for that kind of thing. I'd be online playing games all day instead of studying. :P
I wish you the best with them.
glad you're enjoying it! i personally hate online classes, it is too easy to ignore them!
Im with you, cheezees! If I weren't accountable to my professors on the "showing up to class level" I woulnt' get anything done!!
Glad you are enjoying them, capture! Wish I had your discipline!
Oh I have no disciplin! I'm just on line way too much! It's really just like being here--I read some articles then I contribute to a cyber discussion! At least that is the way these classes are--I'm sure there will be other more challenging courses!

Yeah Meggs, I wouldn't study at all. Nice new pic by the way.

Well if it's like that then I'd be ok. But if I had to read books online or something more challenging, I'd just pop in some dvds and watch movies all day. :P
I when from and associates degree to a bachelor's in nursing all online. 17 classes (graduated summa cum laude this past August).
I loved the convenience of doing the work on my own time and not having to get in my car and drive to a class. It was very hard work mind you, as hard as traditional classes.
If I go for my masters I'm going to go online again. Loved it.
