In this thread, we talk about weird, random things that we think about and make us go :hrmm:.
I'll start.
After I ate my banana this morning, I wondered if any dude has ever used a banana peel as a condom. It would be so weird and hilarious.
Tonight is my last time wearing official dress. Eeeeeeeeeeeeee. i got dressed 20 minutes early. I realized how much i'm going to miss high school ag.
...Wearing official dress? Did your school have uniforms?
I still wonder when they'll make reusable toilet paper. I had a weird conversation about this the other night with a friend. It was awesome.
I remember the first time I saw toilet paper that was made from recycled paper. My wife, at that time, said ehhh who would want to use recycled toilet paper. I had to explain that it was made from OTHER types of paper that was recycled. OHHHH
they do make reusable toilet paper.

Just when I thought I had seen everything...edible diapers. It's a pedophile's dream come true.
That mom from the Chewable Pampers thing was in the episode of Flight of the Conchords that we watched last night.....I kept thinking, why do these guys have crushes on her, she eats diapers.
Dudes love it when chicks eat diapers off of them. Didn't you know? Men are big babies (literally), I thought this was common knowledge.
;) :P
I find it hard to believe that people find Dane Cook funny. The guy talks about beating up his girlfriend while she's sleeping.
I also wonder how people find things funny in general. I was watching a Saturday Night Live sketch the other night, and the sketch featured a girl named Gilly who would hurt people when the teacher of the class wasn't looking. It was one of the dumbest things that I have ever seen, yet the audience was roaring with laughter. I don't care if they put up that little lit up sign that tells you to laugh, don't laugh at dumb stuff if you don't think it's funny. I wouldn't at least. But do these people really think it's funny? It boggles the mind.
For the record, Dane Cook is not funny.
But, I don't find many people funny. Comedians that is. I usually can't watch them because I start to feel uncomfortable...like I'm embarrassed for them because they're so not funny....
Exception: Mitch Hedberg, may he rest in peace.

By crazy random happenstance I read this little article this morning and scientists aren't sure why humans laugh (http://www.newscientist.com/article/mg20327200.800-10-mysteries-of-you-laughter.html).
Also put me in the Dake Cook not being funny camp.
And I'm in the anti-Mitch Hedberg camp.
You can tell a lot about a person or culture by what makes them laugh. I was watching one of these "funniest videos" shows and suddenly I was horrified. Here are people falling, crashing, wiping out on the pavement, running into objects such as fences and edges of trampolines, and people are laughing their butts off. People, these accidents were painful, and if not fatal may have meant stitches, broken bones, concussion...what have we become?
I know I'm over the hill, but I seldom "get" modern comics.

Yabbit, I completely agree. My hub loves the funniest video show...I hate it and have to turn away when someone is hurt..I hate it. It is definitely not funny! I love the baby, kids and pet videos though.
I generally enjoy the pet videos - animals amuse me....
But I saw a teaser for a show on Animal Planet last night called "Untamed and Uncut" - the preview showed these poor animals running into stores and getting trapped, running through glass windows, and horses tripping, falling, and getting trampled by other horses......it really upset me....I can't imagine all of the horror in the actual full length show!
I know this stuff happens, but why is Animal Planet showing it?

Was the show billed as a funny show, or was it billed similar to all those world's wildest police videos? Either one doesn't make sense. Watch animals get hurt then either laugh or gasp.
It was more like the wild police chase shows - a "watch these wild beasts wreak havoc on society" type of show.....still pisses me off
