Reasons to brag or congratulate each other.......

I thought we could add a topic that says -- "Way to Go!" or "Congrats" to our fellow VegWebbers! Maybe we could also use this area to toot our own horns. Say stuff like -- "I just got an A+ in my class!" It's okay to pat yourself on your back sometimes.
I'll start off by saying - it looks like Webmistress Laura got rid of spammer/dickcheese "claudiuswie". Way to go, Laura! And thank you! ;)b
smarty pants josh? :P
Thank you! Sidenote: The prof posted the average score for the class. The majority of the class failed the assignment. Oops.
The kids I go to school with don't like me either (not me personally, just my grades) because they're curve killers. lol Way to go!
I quit the OTC sleeping meds cold turkey Friday. So far it's Monday and I haven't found it as dire as I feared. I go to bed quite late (1 AM or so) but I do sleep. And even though DH has a terrible cold and wakes up at least twice in the night, turning on lights etc, I go back to sleep.
I'm proud of me.
wow! good job! i am so scared to stop taking mine... i've been taking the things for like 10 years :(

Amy, just keep up the great work you've described to me, continue to take the proper/positive steps and we'll be here to congratulate your progress. :)

i'm just taking one thing at a time... also on the list eventually: the pills, drinking, learning to go places alone, and social smoking... ED first and foremost

Good job VH! the responsibility should be a great focus for you :)

I'm bringing back this topic because I'm kicking some essay ass! I got an 88% on my second essay for my Poli-Sci class. The average of the class was 58%! For the first essay, I got a 90% and the class average was 65%!

I keep tellin' him...he's already smarter than me. ;)b
damn, josh!!! fucking awesome!!!
Way to go Josh!
Bragging: In spite (and partly because) of waking up at 3 AM and being unable to sleep any more, I got boatloads of stuff done, some of which I've been putting off. It's amazing how much ironing you can get through when the building is asleep!
I also put the cover on the duvet all by myself, usually considered a two-person, pain in the butt job. For US VWers, a "duvet" is the modern version of the old eiderdown, which nowadays has no feathers in it. It's a big, puffy fibre-core quilt thingy that goes in a cover with a zip or buttons that you can change whenever it needs washing. Wrestling one into the cover is known all over Europe as a frustrating task!! BUT one thing I have gleaned from "How Clean Is Your House" is how to manage the monster.
If anyone is interested I will share. Even on the show they had 2 people doing it together and I managed all on me lonely.
YG, VH and Theodamus - thank you. :)
YG - congrats on your small but large success. It's good you got that covered (pun intended).
first day with no booze... god it's been so long... drinking some water instead... i can do this

Yes you can! If just water gets boring, add a squeeze of lemon or lime juice. Iced lime water is so refreshing! Your body and brain will thank you.
i agree with the lemon and lime!!! it's soooo yum!
