The "SAY SOMETHING NICE RIGHT NOW" Thread
This is something I do with my children when they have been insulting or generally acting nasty to each other. I thought it would be nice to do it here. The rules are you have to say something
1. to someone you've never said anything nice to before (for whatever reason)
2. that is affirmatively nice
3. about that person
So, for example "jkl I really like how your screen name has three letters in a row" is not particularly affirmatively nice about me, whereas "jkl, . . . . " Okay, well, I can't think of anything, but you get my drift.
I'll start.
Yabbitgirl: I am really impressed that you are vegetarian in Spain. I haven't been there in many years, but if it's the same as say, fifteen years ago, I can't imagine a more veg-unfriendly place. You must have a lot of conviction. And I really like your posts.

owalkerjillo: I think it may have been y ou that posted the vegweb link on craftster so long ago. I think you're really nifty. Nothing specific; you're just nifty. ;)
haha thanks courth ;D I do think I most likely posted it on the craftster vegetarian/vegan board. it made me sad to see that board with hardly any action but from a select few, and figured this was the right place to direct people, glad it worked out for you ;D
and for mine:
baypuppy- i love that you make such an effot to get everyone to feel important and you put so much into this board. when you responded on my thread about college applications way back when it made me feel really nice:)
VegAnna- I think that you're SO spunky and I love your photo with the pigtails :) all of your comments are always really helpful and nice to read.
chickpea- i really admire you, i think because we're around the same age (high school) and so its nice to know other vegans in HS dealing with parents and boys and school as i am, you bring a dose of "real life" to this forum for me :)
ps. jkl thanks for the messages you've been sending out to let us know when something nice is said about us, it is DEFINATELY something positive to log in and see.
jkl - Thanks for starting this topic. I've been out of town for a few days. I came back to find an eight-page thread of nice comments. You rock! I think you are a fantastic mother.
humboldt_honey - She's so sweet and soft spoken it's hard to think of her as a mod. She's got the super caring cat mommy thing going on. And she does thoughtful things like quietly leaving important links when I forget about them.
humboldt_honey - ditto on the sweetness. The username is perfect for you in that sense.
I'm going to cut out these comments and post them at work so my coworkers can see that some people don't think my main objective in life is to be a blatant, stubborn, argumentative shrew. :D
I really like having a place where I can come and be "sweet." It's not something I have the luxory of doing/being where I work, so I appreciate vegweb for that.
Vigilant20 - I like your sincerity (and that you started Veg of the Month club).
Ecstatic - After holding your own in the honey thread I knew I was really going to like your posts.
Not to blow the perfection of my username, but - it's a throwback to my Humboldt days. A "humboldt honey" is a girl who doesn't shave.
Now on to someone I haven't complimented. Hmmm.... I appreciate everyone who stands up for what they think is important -even if I don't agree with them. There are too many people to list, but the yellow dot is a good indicator. ShaolinBunny usually says what I'm thinking, but have no intention of posting. ;)
The posts I enjoy most are the ones that crack me up. Off the top of my head...adamchris, Kbone and vigilant20. I don't read the majority of threads and I don't visit every day, so I'm sure I miss a lot.
I appreciate those who contribute recipes, photos and reviews. Thank you. I daydream about all the yummy things I can't find the ingredients to prepare.
