So, I just quit my job

After taking last week off and spending a total of 12 hours driving in my car this weekend (thus having lots of time to think), I decided that I no longer wanted to work at the children's museum.  So, I just sent in my letter of resignation - effective immediately.

I'm terrified because I'm not sure what I'll do, but then I also feel a huge weight lifted off my shoulders.  I have 2 month's worth of money put away and my rent's paid until August 12, so I'm okay for the time being.  I just was so unhappy and decided that it was stupid for me to be miserable - I woke up this morning dreading that I had to go to work and thought "life is too short to live this way".

So, now I just need to find a new job and figure out how to tell my parents I may be moving back in with them  :o

awesome jewel!  way to go!  i think going somewhere new, meeting new people, seeing new things, learning new things is such a cleanse.  just jumping into something new pumps me up so much that afterwards, i feel like i can do anything and i have the self esteem to do anything!    your new endeavor seems exciting and fun!  but i just hope that you find what you want to do, whether its trying out the movie life or something else : )

yay!  im so happy for you!

oh.  about renting an apartment.  you can find awesome deals on craigslist for rentals, subletting and roomsharing, which are all pretty reasonably prices options.

Quitting the job I had for 7 years with the company I built up from scratch was the hardest and best decision I have ever made.

I should have did it years ago! Good luck with everythang, change is worth it.

I told the parents and it went really well - yay!

I probably won't end up doing the PA thing and I'm okay with it.  With the possible hurricane coming Wednesday morning (bad weather starting tomorrow afternoon) there's no way I can move in one day.  Also, the more I thought about it, the more I decided that I value my friendship with Eric too much to jeopardize working for him.  We've been friends for 9 years and although I love him, he's an ass sometimes and I could see working with him being a detriment to our friendship.

The biggest reason for saying no to Michigan is because I really want to take a break and figure out what to do with my life.  I've got 3 more weeks in my apartment and I can leisurely move things back home this way.  I'm going to sleep in and look around the US and see what all's available.  Who knows, maybe I'll end up moving close to one of y'all - we might be neighbors  ;)b

LMAO AC  :-D (he's just for you!)

Actually, I had a friend who was just in Montana and she texted me and said "I think you'd really like it up here" . . . it'd be fun if we could be up there together!!

Yeah, about that job thing, though  ;)
