I do not remember the exact day either, it was sometime in May of 2007. It wasn't exactly a conscious decision, I had been a pescatarian and just kind of noticed one day that I hadn't had fish for a few weeks and decided not to ever have fish again.

I only know my months, not the specific day...
I went vegetarian in August 1993, vegan in April 2007...which means this month is my 1andahalf veganniversary! (I know I already mentioned that I'm all about half birthdays!)

Thanks for all of the internet lovez, everyone!!! :-* :)>>>
Courth, I'm pretty sure it's not a real word, but if George Dubya can make up words, so can El Chucko. :D
AC, this is my first 'successful' year. I feel like such a n00b compared to you guys and dolls. The first time I went only lasted a week. It was many years ago and I had no idea what I was doing, nor did I know where to get the necessary info (I didn't have a computer at the time, I was doing it all on my own, etc., etc...). The second time was around two years ago, and it lasted on and off for 6 months to a year. Although my stomach wasn't, my head was in the right place. I guess I always knew I'd end up as a herbivore. KP went veg around Xmas time last year. I think the Skinny Bitch book helped her make the transition, but she didn't eat much meat anyway.
Double h, v-day could have sooooo many meanings... ;D ;) 8-) >:D

Hooray, Charliebot!
I present to you a savory Beanloaf cake, with a yummy tomato-like filling between the layers (okay, it's ketchup), frosted with a thin layer of mashed taters and sprinkled decoratively with nut. yeast.
it's invisible, in case you wondered.
oh, and lot of us are n00bish in similar ways....I've only gone 3 1/2 years so far, with similar failed attempts before that. You're heading down a good path now, kiddo.

I have been vegetarian since birth! So I guess my vegeversary is my birthday. Double celebration! Still making the change to vegan, may not get an exact date on that one.

(2) it's totally "veganniversary", and I believe I was the originator. 8)
Woo hoo! Happy vegeversary!
Courth - I have no idea of my vegeversary - I gave up meat on 2nd Jan 199?(2?) but still carried on eating fish for a while after - mainly cockles http://www.overthegardengate.net/forums/chat/images/puke.gif.
