Vegan Stocking Stuffers!

So back in the day on Christmas I used to get lots of candy and maybe a few toys in the old stocking but since I've become veg/vegan I rarely eat candy and or "junk food" and my mom has no idea what to put in my stocking at Christmas.  So I figured some people here may have that problem so I'll post what I think would be great to put in  a stocking and hopefully you guys will tell your ideas!

Fruit:  find out what kind of fruit the person likes (my personal fav is apples but I love all types)  ;D

Gift Cards:  Can't go wrong here, give them the gift of choice this way they can pick their own goods  ;)b

Some Candy:  I'm guessing even the most health conscious of us will eat a little bit every now and then, just make sure its vegan friendly (things I'd like: original starburst jellybeans, crybaby sour gum balls, airheads, warheads) just a few of each would go a long way (especially for those who are health conscious don't get too much for them b/c they won't want to eat all of it and would feel bad)   >:D

Other random stuff:  Admit it we've all done it, where you take the cheap little trinket gift and actually wrapped it... don't bother with it, if its small and relatively inexpensive just toss it in the stocking rather than wrapping (don't put small valuables in stocking though like Ipods, videogames, etc. those are best when unwrapped)

Post your thoughts on great Vegan/veggie stocking stuffers!

I think things like cliff bars, lara bars, etc would be good treats.  Or small sample sizes of lotions, favorite body care products and lip balms.  I always like finding small lotions because they're good to throw in my purse.

-insence/candles/lighters

I like to put handmade items as stocking stuffers.

Things like:
Knit scarves or hats
Beaded Jewelery
Hand made card
Candles
Small painted boxes
Tins of nuts

Personal items I feel are best.  Nothing big or expensive but small thoughtful gifts.  If prior all she put in there were candies then switching to something more personal might be difficult.

You can always start the tradition that you make the stockings!  I do that just to make sure I get the things I want in there. haha

stationary. Like cards to send people, pens, pencils, etc. I feel kind of bad for how many cards I send int he mail because I always feel like I could send an email and not use paper or the gas for the transportation... but cards in the real mail are always so much better in some way.... :-/

Quick question about the larabars as they seem to be a popular suggestion... Aren't those only for women and if so why?

Okay, so vh beat me to this. But i took a while to type because i re-did it a billion times. so i'm still posting it.

wayne. I think you're thinking of lunabars (eek similar names cause tons-o-confusion). Luna bars have whole nutrition for women or something. But of course guys can still eat them, heh.
Its just formulated to supply things women need i guess.

larabars are raw food bars! Yummmm.

ahhh thanks, I was thinking about trying them a while back but was a little afraid there  might be some weird side affects...

Wayne: like everyone else said, it's basically just that there are higher amounts of calcium and Vitamin D, folic acid, and iron, which are things women need in general and to help with womany things (folic acid is really good for you if you are/are going to be pregnant). There's no hormones or anything in it... unless they make one called "Birth-control-and-oestrogen flavored Luna Bar," you're fine :). They try to be all organic too.

For people who have them itunes cards or in my case zune marketplace cards... though I guess thats the same as gift cards... well store gift cards are really good especially if they do their own grocery shopping.
